I don't have a Dial M for Murder daybill. Strange that they are so scarce but I have only ever heard of one or two turning up in the past. I guess one might turn up for me eventually.
Incidentally, about 20 years ago I picked up one of John Kisch's guides. I found the phone number of a guy in Los Angeles who seemed to have a lot of Hitchcock posters. I had a trip planned to LA and phoned him when I got there. He said he was very keen to sell everything he had and came to visit me at my hotel. He had inserts, half sheets and one sheets from most of the Hitchcock films from the 40s to the 60s including Vertigo insert, half sheet and one sheet and well over 100 items which he spread out on the floor of the hotel room. He wanted $5000.00 cash for the lot but wanted to do the deal immediately. This was in my early days as a collector and I couldn't get hold of $5000.00 quickly. I asked him if he could wait a few days but he couldnt so all I could do was buy a selection with the money I had. I phoned him a couple of days later to see if we could meet again and his phone was disconnected - never heard from him again. Anything from that period that would be your #1 want? Of course I know that the 1920s-1940s stuff is super-rare, and that you must want a lot of it (but you almost surely have more of it than any one other collector). I also have Hitchcock posters and lobby cards from other countries so it has evolved into quite a large collection.
