I like auctions where the clock runs out.  That way I can put my max bid in and 
forget about it.  Having said that I have bought a lot of posters
at emovieposter.com and I can live with their model.  Some people feel that the 
extended auction model benefits the seller.  If it does, and there is
certainly no comparative data on this, I don't think it benefits them that much 
- usually.  I like the clock model because I can put in a snipe bid and I don't
have to watch it -- not that I watch that many auctions play out to the very 
end anyway
