I recommend building a frame from 1x1 stripping and tacking the linen
to the frame.
a frame of this nature would need to be built with either a six
pointed brace inside the frame or two X braces (one above the center,
one below)
not difficult to build, but you're need some tools to keep the
corners square and if you don't have a table saw that rotates to
create the angles needed for the cross pieces, you'll have to have
one of those table top saw boxes to make those cuts
finishing nails or drywall screws to hold the wood together and be
sure to drill guide holes to prevent the wood from cracking when you
put the nails in
