I don't know what to say.
a couple nights ago, my friend and the fellow who is programming my
new MoviePosterBid.com website was at a party in L.A.
While he was there, Pete was talking to a mutual friend of ours when
the conversation turned to talking about myself & the new website.
later when Pete was email chatting with me about revisions we're
making to get the site up & running (the new site will be online
before the auction that begins January 8th) he said that our mutual
friend said hello to which I responded that he is a top-notch guy and
to which Pete replied:
(our friend) ".. referred to you as that guy that does more for the
industry to be honest, than anyone else."
I am totally and honestly very flattered by my friend's words.
I first met him at Cinevent in 1986 or 87 when I did the show the
first time (I met many poster people there for the first time) and I
credit him in some ways for helping me segue from the comic book
hobby to the movie poster hobby. He is a member of MoPo and if he
wants to reveal himself he is welcome to, but I won't in respect of courtesy.
But to be sure, in case my "thank you for the flattery" phone call
didn't express my appreciation for his comment, I wanted to say right
here THANK YOU
