*An important change to our flat rate **U.S. shipping charge:*
We have not raised our flat rate U.S. shipping since April 2011 (two
and three quarters years ago), even though *ALL* the major shipping
carriers (UPS, USPS, etc) have raised their rates multiple times each year
since then. We have kept our flat rates at those early 2011 levels,
absorbing all the increases (and losing *LOTS* of money on shipping), but
now those major carriers have announced yet another series of rate
increases to start in January, we are increasing our U.S. flat rate
shipping by a single *DOLLAR*, so beginning with this set of auctions, our
U.S. flat rate for standard tube shipping and standard flat packages will
now be $12. This still will not come close to covering our cost to ship
most orders (because so many people purchase many items from each set of
our auctions), but we want to keep our flat rate shipping as a "thank you"
to our customers (and *NONE* of our competitors have nearly as generous
shipping terms as we do). Remember that our U.S. flat rate shipping is good
for as many combine-able items as you purchase during a three week time
period, and that U.S. customers only pay a single flat rate charge even if
they purchase 100 "like" items in a single set of auctions (so sometimes we
charge $12 shipping for a package that costs us $20 or $30 to send).
