Are you a long time collector who has thought of "thinning out" your collection? Read the following e-mail we just received from a consignor:
"I am a decades long collector who a few months ago sent you a couple of hundred items from my collection (a few great, many not so great, and some pretty ugly!) and I was happy with the consignment results. I was also happy with the process. I remember reading your consignment web page and thinking everything you were saying on there was likely true. I doubt I could have done better on my own on eBay and I know it would have been a lot more work to do so. I think it's important to note that I never felt tempted to call or e-mail you with concerns or questions. Everything was pretty clear from the instructions on your site and the e-mail updates. The hardest part was mailing the consignments to you and that wasn't much of a problem. How did I decide what to send? I decided to "thin" my collection out and finally let go of some items that I'd intended to get rid of for quite a while. It was interesting to see what some of the items sold for and interesting to read some of the auction descriptions. Your descriptions were generally more informative that what I even knew about some of the items. As I was going through the process of identifying items to send you I often would ask myself, should I throw this away or should I send it to Bruce? Several items almost went into the trash. A fair number of items were junk I acquired in bulk lots of items from an auction in Spain many years ago, and it a miracle I even kept them. On most of it you got more than I would have imagined. There was a half sheet from a good title that was in terrible shape, and that was the closest I came to trashing an item. I probably paid $10 for it and didn't think it was even worth that much. But you somehow found someone willing to pay $100 for it which I think was among the more surprising results. I have some more items I've put aside to send you and I need to go through some more boxes and closets and do one more pass in an attempt to find more to send. Plus I haven't really gone through my lobby cards, many of which I wouldn't mind getting rid of. *Thanks again for making the process of thinning out my collection as easy as possible.*" [image: Inline image 1] -- Bruce Hershenson and the other 29 members of the eMoviePoster.com team P.O.
