personally with exception of mold and acid damage .. te condition of
some tears and wear and even a few stains does'nt bother me... It
adds to the ambiance and historic intrinsic value.. in my opinion.
 aside from stability in paper breakdown I like un-restored just as
well as restored.. however when they are cleaned up and ;imen
backed,, the colors pop and they will hopefully last a lifetime.the
acidity from the papers yellowing and content makes them self
destruct.. so de-acidfying  seems of paramount importance..

a good trick i learned to stop books, comics and paper from the
basement smell is to immerce in Cat litter in a tubb for several
months,,,and all the moister and bacteria is goone as it dies and
also the mold and oder's,,, i learned this technique at a library pop
culture dept at a university and the price made that poster as
affordable as a reprint
