It adds to the ambiance and historic intrinsic value.. in my opinion. aside from stability in paper breakdown I like un-restored just as well as restored.. however when they are cleaned up and ;imen backed,, the colors pop and they will hopefully last a lifetime.the acidity from the papers yellowing and content makes them self destruct.. so de-acidfying seems of paramount importance..
