We have a really excellent selection of *282 excellent 'oversized' and paperbacked items of all kinds in Part III of our April Major Auction)*ending* Sunday* April 4th, beginning at 3 PM CST (*NOT* 7 PM CST like our Tuesday & Thursday auctions). See them all at* http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/1/15.html <http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/1/15.html>*
Note that "oversized" in this sense includes large posters (three-sheets, French & Italian one-panels, etc), but it *ALSO* includes items that are not that large at all, but which need to be sent in "oversized" flat packages (like window cards, paperbacked inserts, paperbacked half-sheets, and a few paperbacked posters that *CAN *be rolled, etc). *THIS* part of the auction contains many *REALLY* wonderful items (like the Forbidden Planet one-sheet!), so please look over all of these 282 items very carefully! *I JUST LOOKED OVER THE 282 ITEMS CLOSING SUNDAY* (which have just under two days to go), *AND I SAW LOTS AND LOTS OF REALLY WILDLY UNDER-PRICED ITEMS * (there are perhaps 10% that are fairly priced, but the other 90% are filled with super-low prices!). *THIS IS A TIME FOR ABSOLUTE STEALS! *This is especially true when you remember that *LOTS *of the oversized posters were professionally linenbacked (at a cost of $200 to $300 each, in most cases) and yet it is quite possible that even many of those will sell for $30 to $75 each, a *FRACTION *of the linenbacking cost alone! Of course, most of the ones currently at absurdly low prices will get more bids, but you have nothing to lose by placing conservative bids now, because either you get a great buy or you have just lost a little bit of your time (especially because of the free bonuses we give every club member who gets 12 items; see below for more on that). Of course this* Part III <http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/1/15.html>* auction has lots and lots of "better" titles, and almost all of those also are currently at *VERY* reasonable prices including: 7b010 FORBIDDEN PLANET 1sh '56 classic art of Robby the Robot carrying Anne Francis!<http://auctions.emovieposter.com/Bidding.taf?_function=detail&Auction_uid1=3365040> 7b001 BARBARELLA bonus offers to the buyers from our current April Major auction who purchase *TWELVE* items in all five parts combined and another for those who purchase *TWENTY* or more! (since we included 2,178 items in all five parts, it should take no effort at all to purchase TWELVE items from the five parts!) *Buy TWELVE items TOTAL from any of the five parts combined and get a set of SEVEN of our 43 full-color movie poster books 60 Great Cowboy Movie Posters, Cartoon Movie Posters, Hollywood and Early Cinema, Hollywood Posters V, John Wayne Movie Posters at Auction, Texas at the Movies, and Warner Bros Movie Posters at Auction), plus Hollywood Posters I to VI (our SIX great Christie's auction catalogs from 1990 to 1994, and long out of print), plus our Movie Poster Sales Results SIX volume Megapack - total original retail of these TWENTY items is $315!* Those of you who have been buying from us for a long time know that we have often made great special offers like the above to buyers from our major auctions. But now, we are just about out of *ALL* the bonus items, that this is likely the last time we can make this kind of super generous bonus offer! Once we give these items away, we will only have small quantities of each item remaining, and we will have to drastically reduce the number of bonuses we give in the future.* SO IF YOU HAVE NEVER RECEIVED SOME OR ALL OF THESE BONUSES (or maybe even if you have), THEN YOU CERTAINLY SHOULD TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS OFFER, BECAUSE IT IS ALMOST SURELY THE FINAL TIME YOU WILL GET!* *WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Here's what you get if you get TWENTY items from all five parts! *Those of you who get 20 or more items get *ALL* of the above bonuses for winning 12 items, *PLUS* you get a set of *TEN OUT OF PRINT LICENSED 11" x 17" UNIVERSAL MASTERPRINTS* (of great Universal horror movies which together originally retailed for $100), and we have a limited supply of these, but you get the set of ten (plus all the bonuses for winning 12 items) if you get a total of 20 items from all five parts We know that many of you are collectors but that some of you are dealers (and some *BOTH*!) and either way, *YOU REALLY SHOULD CONSIDER LOOKING OVER ALL THE ITEMS AND PLACING AS MANY BIDS AS MAKE SENSE TO YOU* (if some items are going to sell inexpensively, then why shouldn't *YOU* get those good buys?). But you can't do that unless you bid, so why not go right now to *http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/1/15.html <http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/1/15.html> *and look at the many bargains and joke low prices? *SOME IMPORTANT ADVICE ABOUT OUR AUCTIONS, WHICH DIFFER FROM MANY OTHER AUCTIONS IN A FEW KEY WAYS: *Please remember that in our auctions, a * LOT*of the bidders like to wait near the end of the auctions to place their bids! So don't get a false sense of security just because you have had the high bid for almost all of the seven days an item has been on for, *BECAUSE ON BETTER ITEMS, IT IS NOT UNUSUAL FOR THEM TO DOUBLE OR TRIPLE IN PRICE IN THE CLOSING HOURS*. But also remember that our auctions have "time extended bidding", which means that five minutes must go by without a bid before an auction closes, so you can *NEVER* have an item snatched away from you in the final seconds (but you have to be watching the item as it closes, to make certain that no one entered a higher bid than yours in the closing minutes). *Did you know that you can save a huge amount of money by buying posters "pre-linenbacked" in this Part II?* This *Part III <http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/1/15.html>* of our *April Major Auction* contains *around two hundred* professionally linenbacked and paperbacked posters. Just about every collector of "older" posters knows that a large majority of those that survive have been professionally linenbacked and restored, because those posters were not only printed on an inexpensive paper stock, but they were also used in theaters, so most have pinholes or tape stains, and many have tears, tape repairs, etc. And even the best condition ones often have foldlines (almost all older one-sheets, three-sheets and six-sheets were folded before being distributed, and those foldlines are distracting, even in a nice condition poster). So most collectors get these posters professionally linenbacked, and they are also restored during as part of the backing process (although some collectors prefer to simply back the posters and have *NO* restoration performed, and because this was more common in Europe than in the U.S., this is often referred to as being "in the European style"). When a poster has been well backed and restored, the difference can be night and day! All the unsightly defects vanish, and the poster now looks close to how it did when it was first created, and can be more fully enjoyed while it is displayed. Linenbacked posters are far easier to frame. An unbacked poster must be either "floated" in a frame, or carefully attached with conservation tape, whereas a linenbacked posters can simply be taped on the back of the excess linen, with zero chance of harming the poster. Linenbacked posters are also far easier to transport, as they are far less fragile than unbacked ones. But this process is fairly expensive. Most top restorers charge around $125 to linenback a one-sheet that is in nice condition, and one that has restoration needs can often run $175 to $250, and even more for more serious defects. Larger or smaller posters cost more or less, depending on their size. So most people will only linenback a poster that is worth a few hundred dollars or more, although many others will linenback a less valuable poster, simply because they want to display it at its best and don't care if they are "losing" some money backing it. *BUT YOU CAN SAVE A MASSIVE AMOUNT OF MONEY WHEN YOU PURCHASE A POSTER THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN BACKED! *Why? Because people tend to somewhat disregard the cost of backing when bidding on such posters. If a one-sheet poster usually sells for around $300 unbacked, then it might sell for $350 linenbacked, even though the earlier owner may have paid $200 to have it backed! This is especially true with less expensive posters. *EVERY* time we auction linenbacked posters, we have *LOTS* of them that end up auctioning for *LESS THAN THE COST OF LINENBACKING ALONE!* Sometimes you can even buy linenbacked one-sheets for just $10, $20, or $30! So if you like great deals, be sure to check out the *two hundred professionally linenbacked and paperbacked posters* in this *Part III <http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/1/15.html>* of our *April Major Auction*, which contains around 150 linenbacked or paperbacked three-sheets, Italian one- and two- panels, French one-panels, and other large sizes, and almost all of these were backed at a cost of $250 or more each, and yet some of them will sell for $30 to $75, a massive savings off of the linenbacking alone!! But when buying linenbacked posters, you always need to be careful that the seller or auctioneer is being 100% truthful about the amount of restoration a poster has had. We at eMoviePoster.com * ALWAYS* give a thorough description of the "pre-restoration" defects a poster has had, so you can bid knowing full well that what you receive will match what you saw, and that the poster did not have more restoration than what was described. *MANY OF THE BEST DEALS OF ALL THE POSTERS WE AUCTION EACH YEAR ARE THE LINENBACKED POSTERS WE AUCTION IN OUR MAJOR AUCTIONS, ESPECIALLY THE LARGER SIZE ONES!* Good luck on whatever you may bid on in *Part III <http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/1/15.html>* of our current *April Major* *Auction *ending on* April 6th (starting at 3 PM CST) at **http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/1/15.html <http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/1/15.html> *I have been running auctions like these for 24 years non-stop, and I am absolutely certain that the five parts of this auction have one of the greatest selections of posters in all those years! -- Bruce Hershenson and the other 29 members of the eMoviePoster.com team P.O.
