James Dean appeared in the Schlitz Playhouse TV show, The Unlighted Road,
in 1955. It was rebroadcast on CBS on June 1, 1956, eight months after
Dean's passing, and this great still is from that 1956 TV re-broadcast, as
indicated by the snipe on the back.

If I tried to picture a dog that Alfred Hitchcock would have as a pet, it
would look exactly like this one, which he had on the set with him, while
making 1943's Shadow of a Doubt!

We know nothing about this wonderful still we are auctioning that shows a
very youthful Clint Eastwood and Jayne Mansfield standing together in
airplane aisle, but we bet there is a fascinating story behind it! If
anyone knows more about it, please let me know.

Anna May Wong was a Chinese-American actress from the 1910s to the 1960s.
Some of her movie roles include: Shanghai Express, Thief of Bagdad, Impact,
Across to Singapore, and Piccadilly. Unfortunately, due to the prejudices
of the time, the studios cast white actresses over her, even in Asian
roles, having the white actresses perform in "yellowface", which meant that
Miss Wong would almost always play a friend or enemy of the white actress
in the lead Asian role!

This is a portrait from Life Magazine's files and has the photographer
stamp on the back and three punch holes in the left blank border. The still
is undated, but we know this photographer did a shoot with him in 1963, so
we believe it is from that date.

Have you EVER seen a better still than this keybook still with a closeup of
Lon Chaney in costume at masquerade ball?

The above are just a few of the 999 vintage single 8" x 10" stills
(including over 100 candids and key books!) at auction closing Sunday
