ebay does what ebay wants
the consideration that one needs to make is whether or not the
financial benefits (as a dealer) outweigh the detriments.
my bigger gripe with ebay is that when they do free listings stuff,
it clogs up the site with so much material that you can't even
consider buying due to prices or loads of chotchkies and they are
more than filters can remove due to the limitation of how many
filters you can add. So it triles or quadruples the time needed to
search, which some of us just don't have
the capricious attitude of ebay itself is not my concern, because no
amount of bitching about it will change anything
I'm happy to fight battles I have a chance of winning, but ebay is
not something I can change, ergo my gripes are small because I must
acquiesce to their rules regardless of whether I like them or not
that being said, I think it is a failing of many dealers that they do
not have their own sites or do not promote them if they do.
building your own site & promoting it so you can do business seems
like a smart thing to do, just out of normal procedure
