*I JUST LOOKED OVER THE** 999* FRENCH AND ITALIAN POSTERS, PRESSBOOKS, JUMBO LCS & MORE *ENDING TONIGHT, AND I SAW LOTS AN**D LOTS OF REALLY WILDLY UNDER-PRICED ITEMS (there are perhaps 10% that are fairly priced, if that, but the other 90% are filled with super-low prices!). THE ONLY THING I CAN FIGURE IS THAT PEOPLE ARE WAITING FOR THE LAST FEW MINUTES OR HOURS TO BID THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW IF THIS WILL HAPPEN, AND IF PRICES STAY WHERE THEY ARE, THEN TRULY, THIS IS A TIME FOR ABSOLUTE STEALS!*
All of the posters we are currently auctioning are "oversized", but that does not mean what you might think it does! The Italian and French posters *ARE *"oversized" in the sense that most of them are very large posters (39x55, 55x78, and 47x63), but the jumbo lobby cards, large pressbooks and most of the other items mostly measure 14x22 or smaller. But what makes *ALL *of these "oversized" is that they need to be sent in large flat packages (mostly measuring around 16x24) so we sell these sizes of posters separately from those which can be sent in our standard size packages, and *ALL *of the current 999 items *CAN *be combined into the same package, which saves you a lot on shipping! *WHERE ARE THE WINDOW CARDS?* Usually, we include regular movie window cards in this set of auctions, but this time we had so many French and Italian posters that we only included the window cards from stage plays, and the regular movie window cards will have to wait until the next time we auction these sizes, which will be around one month from now, June 3rd to 10th. *WHY ARE THERE PRESSBOOKS IN THIS SET OF AUCTIONS, INSTEAD OF IN THE MONTHLY "MISCELLANEOUS" AUCTIONS?* The difference is that the pressbooks closing tonight are "oversized" and are more elaborate than the ones in the "miscellaneous" auctions. For important movies (and sometimes just for movies the studios wanted to make seem more important!) the studios would create very large pressbooks, often with great color covers, and you will find a really nice selection of these closing tonight! Three times *EVERY *week we auction hundreds of items that sell for low, low prices (we actually sell lots and lots of items for $1 and $2, and around half of all that we auction goes for $14 and under). That's right, there are *THIRTY SEVEN PERCENT* of these items at $1 or no bid, *HALF *of these items at $4 or under and lots more ridiculously low prices at *EVERY *price level, even at prices of $50, $100 or more! I mean, is there any way *THIS* 1970s re-release Italian one-panel is not a steal at just $60 (especially since it is in our "very good" condition, and it has sold for as high as $271 in the past, and would look incredible on anyone's wall)?
