when I got the collection the man stated they told me dont laminate them but i did anyway... soIhad always thought well it will kill the value as colectables and kinda didnt think about t much as I saw one sheets hat I thought would be my main sellers.... and i noticed some where re-release on that as I just quickly went through as the books and magazines and all was overwhelming...then before i looked again I mentioned on newsgroups like facebook that I had thses kinda as a heads up teaser,,, so today I started to put the pieces together more like a ginat puzzle as I am starting to see the big picture.. when people collect they get things over time and in various locations... lobbie cards they might get one here one there and they build the sets,,,some never finish or get a badly beat up one or a full set in great shpae,,, so also they may get areprint as afiller or just a intereting card a re-relaease and also a original release... so.... all those things .. I had a huge stack in lamination.... but I also had stray cards mixed withe the folded one sheets.. so now Ive been sorting to see if I have Full sets and if the cards are original release or re-release.. as he had many single carfds from som great film titles..the key is whicj ones are genuine,,,, so heres a inetersting fact there are many thatno one would ever reprint as they where so so films or obscure so Im certain they are real.. then there are the real ones that I was lucky to verify as he had left ut some of the cards from lamination so I know thse are real,,, then the re-release are self explanatory... that leaves the monster cards .. because I know he bought somem from Borch arcival photography n detroit I know some have to be reprints byt some may be original as that can be also...whats great is they are almost full sets on many of them and the cards themselves are just fantastic and would be very hard to even find as a reprint and are stunning,,, and in lamination... so they are truly preserved,.,, so I have had a few thoughts,,, I know Gerg douglas and others that love that genre would eat hese up.. so I thought maybe what I need to do is reprint hese in digital at a very low cost so all horror buffs can have them then everyone can get some.. I alsothought I could take these cards around in a tarveling exhibit and allow kids and retire s to pass them around and see the movies give a talk and show a film and it may be cool as they cany\t rip them up so the lamination is a blessing...so whats cool about this is there are many options and im still ascertaining which one s are real and not but im getting very close and many are original just laminated is all... so.. its been fun.. I actually broke into a sweat when I thought I told him at firts I would neot even have interst and I offered thes in a lot to one dealer who said ILL pass so its funny how opportunities can be right in fron t of you and you not even know it... the sage continues...
