so I felt like I was the mopo black sheep Loonet tune... and was
alittle wondering if I was making peopel feel nervous as many peopel are
trying to run actual law abiding business and take this stuff very
serious... aside from MrRock star FDouglas who we know has always been 1
sandwich short of a picnic everyone else seems kinda normal ( if we
only knew Right:)
so ive been on my discovery of what the hell I just bought from this 77
year old collector that is as mysterious as his colection when I decide
to read the poster book he gave me from Robert Brosch archival phot in
allen Park Mic... 1st thng when I called him that was odd.. is see my
ex wife was born and raised in alle park MI as her dad was a ship
captain of the FORD motors Benson ford that after ford soldthe fleet to
japan someone took the ship and made the front end into a house on
Kellys island in lake erie... so I knew it would be a odd
conversation... 2 - I mentioned Skeippers Ice cream as that all she
talked about when we went there and he knew aboutit...My ex wifes
familty was wild the dad From Sweden Gustav was in the merchant marine
in ww2 fought in battle of Murmansk and was like the old ship that
survived,, Her Mom a ny sicilian was a big band singer with Roy and Bob
eberly I think befor oconnel,,, her Brother was a concert pianist who
named his sister after a famous braziliian concert painst Guiomar Novaes
yep... typical normal peopel her relatives live in Howard beach and when
I asked her who to look far at the newerk airport she said just look for
some guys that shouldl have violin cases... I said is that the,M?? it
was ,, theyown a funerl parlor in Howard beach,,, Gotti lived there,,
capishe.. ?? her brother was in with the detroit gamblers mob type
people with names likem MIMI and such... so a castof characters,,, where
was I... oohh the guy in mich,,, I called and he basically sounded like
me got sick in 2010 and his synptoms sounded like my illiness... but he
doesnt want to get help,,, probably wise.. sooooo Im reading his book
and I see the forward by Forrey Ackerman,,, and boing ii i realized
everyone i know in collecting and art and music is all NUTs like me...
he mentioned he liked strippers and bettie page and all... when I was 17
I went to the esquire theater in Toledo as they had deep throy and devil
in miss Jones and I got to dssee Balze strss in person... Ros larose
owned Burlesque wona and I even had a old sign guy from Burlesque do my
signs..the Gay community loved my shop and actually st ouside my doors
the 1st day we opende the shop... I became friend with most of the local
female impersonators at the drag clubs as they where into Hollywood
stuff... when they needed head shots i asked ne to pose in My armor that
we sold in starlog magazine and the guy who looked like beranasdet
peters Posed in the armor and was striking I said you do it and Ill do a
free session of you... well I liked to shoot like Old 30s style glamour
shots... next I knew he tells drag queens from all over to have me do
there head shots because they liked my style of hurrel type lighting !!!
pck up the stralog from 83 in he backis my armor and " dennis in it" at
the time stright chicks would have thought I was a nut..( hhthey would
have been Right)... I remember when David lee Roth was in own he had a
girl come to my shop to get costumes to dress up girls for the Van halen
show... and i went picked her up and drpped her off and thought wow Roth
is a s nuts as me,,,:)so anyways These books from robert I can seel you
for like 15.00 and they hav a color catalog of allthe reprints he did..
so I looked adn sure enough I think my guy bought many from him... so
all thats left now is finding the ones that are real that where mixed
it... can we say Digree??? where Kusomoto when you need him... do you
think I may have cause a distrubance in the force? so now you know
partly why I decide a few years ago to follow god and try to get some
balance as Ive had a heck of a ride in this biz and cant believe im even
still here this could be a rod serling episode...would not surprise
me... also my drummers mom was a assistant to Jack baker aha Dr.silkini
in the 40s spookshows and he even distributed all the ed wood films and
r aztec mummy vs the robot ..I had 35 mm print from jack and sold them
in 1992.. I talked to him a few times my friend played frankenstien and
now runs haunted houses at the prison they made shawshank redeemption
at.in Ohio and I knew to other guys that make magic illusions that also
made Jack props... so see.. I guess I am a certified froot loop.afer all
no wonder i am in this biz.. gessh// b think ill go pour some concrete
and make a curb.. didI mention im also addd..Ocd.. I hide it so
well,....:)
