Hello fellow MoPoers;
Doc Filmmaker Bradley Beesley is coming to my friends and I, right here in
our humdrum town of Bartlesville Oklahoma (location for the recent releases
August Osage County and Terrance Malick), to make a film about these prank
phone calls we recorded in our High School days of the early/mid 1980s.
Throughout the decades, they apparently have been gaining underground cult
status after being traded and dubbed and shared. As a big fan of film I can't
help but be emotionally attached to this project, and although had the
opportunities of working on a few Oklahoma films like Weird Al's UHF, this is
kinda weird for me since it literally hits so darn 'close to home'. I was
responsible for recording half of them, and inadvertently passing it along to
too many folks at the start...
Here's a link to the Kickstarter Campaign which was just launched! In the
trailer, I'm the 'weirdo' with the Harley Davidson t-shirt and tie-die headband:

If you, or anyone you may know (i.e. Producers, etc... lol), would like to help
out with this, ANY help would be appreciated. "Get in on it at the Ground
Floor" as they say
And, to keep this a MOVIE POSTER topic, one of 'our gang' happens to be a
well-known artist in the underground comic world Jim Blanchard. I was hoping he
would come back around to his old days with Fantagraphics and Peter Bagge and
do a comic for an extra 'franchise and merchandising', but he says those days
are over... however, after a lot of convincing, I think we have talked him into
a poster. His first response was "Who makes a poster for a film that hasn't
been made yet?!?" I thought of y'all when he said that and told him I could
probably get some sold before principal photography even begins, if it's as
good as your other stuff!!! Here's a link to his webpage, and check The Gallery
so you get an idea of his talents (His Rodney Dangerfield should knock your
socks-off!)

Thanks for your time
