*We have drastically improved eMoviePoster.com's Current Auction gallery
search!*
We have been working on this for a long time, and we have finally
been able to roll out some improvements to our * galleries
<http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/all.html>*! There are three main
changes that took place:
1) We made the search of our galleries (the ones with our Current Tuesday,
Thursday and Sunday auctions) just like our Auction History searches. What
does this mean? It means you will get far less "false" results (such as, if
you were searching for "Gomer", you will no longer get "Montgomery" or if
you search for "hit" you won't get "Whitty")!
2) It also means that in many cases, slight misspellings of film titles (or
using the wrong form of the word) will still get you results! A wonderful
example is a search for "closes encounters ofs the thirded kinding". Even
though only two of the words are the correct words, the results will still
get you "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" such as * RIGHT HERE
<http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/search/closes+encounters+ofs+the+thirded+kinding/all.html>*

3) We added the "Search within" box. This allows you to do a second search
within your current search results. Let's say you were looking for John
Wayne westerns. First, search for *John Wayne* in the main search box. Now
the Search Within box appears at right. Type *western* in that box and
click Search. Now you will see only results for John Wayne westerns, and
*NOT* all the other movies John Wayne made!
*Want List searches are affected! *This change would have also affected *
Want List <https://www.emovieposter.com/members/wantlist.php>* searches, so
we have already identified a larger percentage of ones that would be
affected, and we fixed them. This is why you may have recently received a
"Your Want List has been optimized" e-mail. Now you know why! However,
there are around *THIRTY THOUSAND* Want List searches from thousands of
bidders, so we know our fixes probably haven't been perfect. Therefore, we
*STRONGLY* recommend that you visit your * Want List
<https://www.emovieposter.com/members/wantlist.php> *today to review them.
First, go to our *Want List Examples
<https://www.emovieposter.com/members/wantlist_examples.php>* page and
review the "tips" section to learn how searching should work. Then go to
your *Want List <https://www.emovieposter.com/members/wantlist.php>* and
verify that all of your searches match these suggestions. If you just
aren't sure (or don't understand how this works), *send us an e-mail
<[email protected]?subject=Please%20optimize%20my%20Want%20List>*,
and we will look over your Want Lists and make sure they are optimized. But
know that if we receive hundreds of e-mails, it will take us quite a bit of
time to review all those Want List searches, so it will be far quicker if
you can review them yourself and make any necessary changes.
*A LOT more great "things to come"!*
We are now working on adding really valuable "filtering" options to all our
galleries, but we are first going to overhaul how the Auction History
filtering currently works to streamline it and make it more intuitive
(similar to sites like Amazon), and then we will add the improvement. Then
we can look at adding an Advanced Search page (this will be very powerful!)
and potentially "categories" as well. Tune in next time - same Bat-time,
