I am not a fan of conspiracy theories - but I wonder if the whole thing about The Interview was to dupe the world into thinking that there was a threat out about the film one a global terrorist footing - the film gets pulled the world is up in arms about censorship - Sony defy Korea and show the movie and it is the patriotic duty of the free world to see what at best is a mediocre film at best.
