Highlights include the most spectacular and rare original German double
weight still photo that you will ever see of the iconic Maschinenmensch
robot from Metropolis (1927). Also from that film we have an original
German double weight still of the workers in the underground city, and a
colorful linen-backed studio campaign print advertisement.

We have the earliest known full script for The Wizard of Oz (1939), Noel
Langley’s May 4, 1938-dated draft which includes many elements seen in the
final film, and many which were not.

There is a suite of eight (8) rare and unique posters for John Cassavetes'
The Killing of a Chinese Bookie (1976). We have both the rare and striking
3-sheet and 6-sheet posters for Dirty Harry (1971). There is a
magnificently-colored 3-sheet for Bullitt (1968) as well.

Horror and science fiction is present with rare window card and insert
posters for 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968); a beautiful insert poster for
Captive Wild Woman (1943); and fantastic art posters for The Incredible
Shrinking Man (1957), Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959) and This Island Earth
(1955).

There is art from many of the traditional film noir titles such as Laura
(1944), The Blue Dahlia (1946), Out of the Past (1947) and Lady in the Lake
(1947).

We present art from the history of classic European cinema, including a
poster and stills from The Passion of Joan of Arc [La passion de Jeanne
d'Arc] (1928) and a set of stills from Ivan the Terrible (1945). American
classics include lobby cards from Meet Me in St. Louis (1944) and It's a
Wonderful Life (1946); a bright banner ad on linen plus a deluxe
lithographic card set from Disney’s Pinocchio (1940); an 8 x 10" glossy
still of Elsa Lanchester as the Bride in Bride of Frankenstein (1935); and,
various pieces from American films of silent cinema as well as the works of
Buster Keaton, Clara Bow, Jeanne Eagels, Louise Brooks, Charlie Chaplin and
Alfred Hitchcock.

We also continue to feature pieces from classic Broadway theatre.

Our next upload announcement will be in Fall of 2015.
