Hey guys Freeman Fisher here,
It has been a while since I've posted because I have been working my tail off
at Goldberg Coins & Collectibles (www.goldbergcoins.com) Anyway
we have an auction coming up, not so much posters but an extensive collection
of signed photos by some of the greatest legends of
film and television. While nowhere in the league of Morris Everett's lobby
card collection and as curated by Daniel Strebin at PROFILES (I mean let's be
honest, that is one historic collection) I am very proud of the collections
offered on June 27 and 28.
There are two auctions with two catalogues, June 27, 2015 is the entire world
class collection from the estate of William K. Steiner whose music manuscripts,
presidential letters, and historic documents and yes some great entertainment
are very well known. Entertainment begins at lot 513 and some of my favorite
pieces are a signed letter by Orson Welles and a self-drawn caricature of
himself. The other is a great lot of two Warner Brothers contracts by Humphrey
Bogart coupled with one by Busby Berkeley but many other great pieces as well.
The second auction is June 28, 2015 and includes an extensive collection
beginning with lot 766 by a long time collector of autographs and much beloved
character by many stars of Hollywood's Golden Age. Collection includes great
signed photos, cut signatures many letters, contracts and assorted documents.
With the cooperation of the individual handling the estate, I was allowed to
group the majority of pieces in thematic lots and price them attractively for
dealers worldwide: Academy Award winners, lots by film including GWTW and
Wizard of Oz, bad girls, classic beauties, Westerns, sports, music legends,
almost too many to mention but close to 180 lots! There are so many great
pieces.

Thanks in advance for giving these two auctions a view. I will say this, I now
have the most profound appreciation of what auction houses like Heritage and
Profiles go through in delivering their catalogs, and individuals like Bruce,
Dominique and others on this site go through to deliver a large scale auction.
