Man, I would so love to be there, where Poster Geek is spoken fluently and no
one looks at me like I'm an escaped mental patient when I start passionately
arguing the superiority of the print job on the re-release one sheet of "The
Invisible Ghost" with Bela Lugosi. (Deke Richards and I spent a lot of time
discussing minutiae like that...) The Courts shows at the Beverly Garland are
much missed by this old poster dog. (I actually met Ms. Garland when I stayed
at the hotel while on tour back in the early 1980s. She still looked great and
seemed to enjoy getting Fanboy attention from a guy who looked like Mr.
Rock'n'Roll.)
Unfortunately,(or, actually, fortunately) I am working this weekend playing
music. Weddings and a private party so, yeah...it's work! Love to make it next
year. I'll be there in spirit...or at least my credit card will be. Going to
the auction site right now so I can piss away everything I earn this weekend.
Hey, better to give it to poster dealers rather than drug dealers!
