For those of you who are interested, I saw STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS today in Imax 3D — and it was VERY entertaining. Those who know me know that I have never been a fanboy for STAR WARS, but this film is so extremely well crafted and with good story and high production values that I was quickly taken in. The new scoring of the STAR WARS music was excellent, with some new themes and, of course, reprises of the old ones. The score was one of the great things about it. The new characters and the actors who play them are very good, too. I would not hesitate to recommend this. I wouldn’t say that my expectations were exactly low, but there was a residual skepticism within me. I think J.J. Abrams took care of that. There is truly something for kids, adolescents and adults in the film.
