I also thought the shipping prices were very high, and I'm in the US, in So CA.

As another example, I saw that one WC, which weighs but a few ounces at most, had a quote of 16.85 to mail (expedited) within the US.

Unless something is 13 oz or more, it can be shipped USPS First class; over that weight, it has to be mailed Priority.

As a test, I just went onto the USPS site, to mail a single WC, in a 'large size' package. I gave the measurements of this parcel as 24" x 18" x 1 inch thick, (since a WC is 14x22) and set the sealed parcel to weigh 12 oz. I also chose a zip code back in the midwest to mail to from my LA zip code.

Here are the price results:

USPS 2-Day Priority Mail: $7.85

USPS First Class Parcel: $4.34

I then decided to up the same parcel weight to 14 oz, but left the parcel dimensions the same, to see if there would be any price differences, with it being close to a pound in weight.

Results:

2-Day Priority Mail : $7.85

USPS Retail Ground: $7.84

So 2-Day Priority is not uber expensive. And the point isn't if one buys 6 items, that there is combined shipping. It's the idea that if someone wants only ONE item, that buyer should not be made to pay some kind of over the top ship fee, even if it is sent Priority.

Charge a customer what it costs, (or maybe round it up to the next whole dollar). That's what I have done, to keep the number simple and even. But an additional 100%+ markup?

Being Overcharged for shipping is a huge peeve of mine and that's why i felt the need to comment.

Hello Zeev,

The ebay default shipping is set for PRIORITY MAIL, that is why the price is so high, AND the usps has raised their prices as of February 1st.

I always ship according to the high bidder's request, so, in case YOU win something, and don't want to have it shipped via Priority Mail, I can ship it via Air Mail and the price I charge is calculated according to usps.com, site everybody from all over the world can see.

Another thing to keep in mind is that, as stated in my descriptions, I combine shipping, so anything up to 8 lobby cards can be shipped for the price of one.

Take care,

Lumi
