Another sad loss to the movie poster community. I didn't know him
personally, but bought a bunch of nice items from him in 2008. A very friendly
and
efficient transaction, which is the best one can ask for. Hope he's hanging
out with some of his horror heroes where he is now.
Best wishes to you and his other friends/family.

Hi All,
It is with a heavy heart that I announce to you the passing of my good
friend, Mike Searle. Mike passed away on March 30, after a very long illness.
He was a movie buff, especially fond of the horror genre. He was a
collector and dealer of movie posters and 16mm films, as well as doing poster
restoration and linen backing.
Mike was an easy going, likable, friendly guy, and many of you have dealt
with him and met him at Cinevent in Columbus and/or Cinefest in Syracuse,
where he always prominently displayed his merchandise, together with his
brother Bob. In the Toronto area he was a familiar fixture in numerous local
shows.
Mike will be greatly missed. So long, friend.
Zeev
P.S. I will forward pictures of Mike once I figure out how to do it
without an attachment.
