Im getting ready to do ebay his wek ill Focus on Music movies of
Rock..
the 30 x 40 has a taped tear down the middle agout 19 inches from
bottom otherwise just some wear on edges and no pinholes....color
looks great..
id like 200.00 and 13 shipping obo otherwise it will be on
ebay...i take paypal...
now my old rocke memorie,,im 60 almost 61 so we do this awhile then
we die...as we hit that chrord from the beatles- the end,,,LOL:)
I had a flashback to age 15 about 1971 i was in art class and i wa
drawing a pic of Led zepplin.. and it was like animaion i had asked
the shool to let me quit as i wanted to play Rock and troll and was
getting gigs at bars at age 15 doing lek jazz and country as that
paid 25.00 a man and in 1971 that was ok loot..
so im sitting there in my heavy metalanimation drawing coshatch on
pages marshall ,, i could here tem playing -hey hey mama gone make
you sweat gonna make you groove,,, whena kid cam up amd said why
dont you be like therest of us and draw florals....i creacked and
said be like therest ofyou?? hats the point i dont want to be like
the rest of you..nwhichi tooka bottle of purple tempure paint and
squessed it righ inthe guys kisser!!! theni took my desk and threw
up the papers and went weeeee.. and a riot ensued of kids going run
for your life type attitude...
right then the art teacher entered the room..a effeminate man he
stared flaing his hands in frustartion saying my clas my cals you
distrupted my class....!!!
so i ended up in the pricipals office he saysok martin you win yo
can leave i haveto expell you though..and he said but the last guy i
expelled was mark farner of grand funk rrailroda i shook his hand
and said thank You sirr yiull never regret this...and so my 72 i was
playing full time..and in 73 i gota cal from Toledomostfamous 50s
rock band ;Johnny and he hurricanes..Johhny paris who said hey kid i
heard your pretty good...
the thing abot 50s music is its clean trite licks vs the zepplin
distorion so john would always tease me as the kid wonder whei would
crank outa solo to jimmy page iss or clapton ish..
s the rock films ill have are from when i was in my music
prime..liek this Tommy poster 1975 i did a 45rpm that ear very
bubble gum commercial because the studio guy said it has to be
snappy to be a hit,,,
I also have alice cooper movie poste who i met several tims around
71-72 and on conert for bangledesh i was almost signed to leaon
Russell label shelter records and i went there in 1976 and they had
my demos on the tableso they where genuine..also i have ac/dc trick
or tret,, Zackariah with the james gang met walsh when they played
toldeo and asked him for his smasshed speaker botton,,,so thhese
poser will be a trip down memory lane....i also have b eatles and
other rock films lkelast waltz, and others..somepunk stuff and
detroit rock city andothers like that horror flick i forgot rihjy
now has the cramps and others think its romero...
i also have rock magazine , rollng stone, and fan magazine, hit
parader and beatle mags going back to 60s..also teen beat and
stuffliek that...Johnny dated tina Louis the movie ster from
gilligans island and introduced Dick clark to his wwife.... he also
wa on that tour on Bus that big booper and Buddy holly doed in a
plane crash so he was very hip toRock and taught me loads ofshow biz
advice wheni was just 17..when he pased i was a paullbearer..a few
yearsback,, the bestles warmed up for the hurricanes at tehstar Club
in hamburg germany...
so its been a lot of music history for me.. i met pete best the 1st
drummerand he remebered John,,,
but John Bonham to me is the buddy rich of rock the gonzo just had
the best grooves i ever heard,, i still default to those tunes..
when i play even though im no where near pages sound.... Greg knows
what im talking about as he haas ernie ball blood in him also...long
Live rock...:)
