Hi Glenn

I have had 2 ebay stores since their inception. There have been many policy
changes over the years that are a pain to deal with but I have sold a heck of a
lot of posters so I guess it is well worthwhile.

I also sell from my own website and that is a lot easier, more efficient and
more productive. However, the ebay stores are a good alternative to have based
on the “don’t put all your eggs in one basket” theory.

One thing that is time consuming with stores is that you constantly need to be
relisting items, usually every 30 days. You can use the Good Til Canceled
option but if you do that your listings get buried.

The latest annoying change is that sellers have been advised that they must
remove active content to make their listings mobile responsive. They do very
little to help sellers with this and apparently they will soon be removing
their major listing tool Turbo Lister.

You need to keep tweaking keywords, etc to maintain high visibility for your
listings. Stores don’t work for everyone but I am happy overall with the
results over the years.

Regards

John

Subject: [MOPO] Ebay Store query

I'm curious to hear the pros and cons of having an eBay store from those on the
list that do.

Thanks in advance -

Glenn
