I see these were made for the AFI Movies..

A.F.I. hired my Company To make commemorative clapboards For the hundred year hundred movies.

I guess they gave them out. I've always applauded reproductions

Because it allows Common man To share the love of movie are

That's whyI sell reproductions myself,This is however , We're set to be done on a process similar to those in the past

The only difference I can see Is that Stone lithos We're done on slabs of Bavarian Stone . They would reuse the stone, And after grinding it down.Until it was too thin

That's why you never see Stone litho Matrixes Surviving.

So back to my Story On the AFI

Noted Director, Peter Bogdanovich, Was in town for a lecture at our local library'

I decided to take one of the AFI clapboards present to him as a gift.

As I approached him and said here Peter here's a gift for you he Replied"

No thank you I disagree with the AFI on their selection.

It was the first time and only time somebody's refused to take a free Clapboards from me...

True story, Happened at Meet the authors, And yes I was very embarrassed'

But That show biz..

I would think of these a S2 posters would be a fine buy for someone that just loves movies and will eventually even be worth more if the scarcity with time happens.. if not It's
cool to see the Images saved for future viewing- IMHO

best, Tom

As with so many of these 'collectables', the limited edition size is
determined by how many people are willing to buy them.

These are all advertised as 'limited edition'. Seeing that the series
started 20 years ago, and they are still available, I'm wondering how
many copies of these were made?

The distributors seem oddly reclusive about this, even their
'certificates' do not mention the print run. Does anybody know?

I have no connection to the seller, just passing along a good deal.

I bought 12 of them myself, as shown here:
