Hi Filip, Our auctions were no BP auctions the past few years, but we had a 15% BP earlier. For this auction there is one reason.
In this auction, the vast majority of the posters are consigned by a few people, and we discussed starting prices and different commission types and rates with the. They asked us to do it this way. In Hungary, all auctions use BP (15-25%), and they felt that it will work well with the Hungarian audience, because A.) they are used to paying a BP and B.) this way, the starting prices are a bit lower. I personally prefer the no BP auctions, and hope to return to them, but for this auction, it was the way to go.
