It’s February 24^th folks so that means MoPo is turning 23!  The first automated MoPo message was sent via American University’s listserv on February 24, 1995. Who’d have thought this old dinosaur would have clunked along for so many years…and who’d have thought American University would still be supporting a listserv after 23 years! But thanks AU for giving us a home for such a long time.

 

There were 11 members at the beginning… so as is my tradition here’s a shout out to the original members:  

 

Mahtab Moayeri, Michael Danese, Rob Ellis, Donna Tschetter, Goh Kai Shen, Evan Zweifel, George Nichol, Jeff Static (using his AOL name Static555), Adam Ehrlich (the AU student who managed to get us on AU’s listserv), Cindy Nemeth-Johannes (sadly we lost Cindy in 2008, but her husband Jay is still a member), and myself. Other original members that are still subscribed are Michael, Rob and Evan.

 

Thanks to everyone for sticking around and keeping MoPo alive.
