hello Friends ofMoppoland

I have had several orders from former customers and wanted to thank you all.. Its been like coming out of being frozen inTime as it dawned on me Ive been in slo mo now since 2000

Consider this..I started in 1977 before internet...and we jjust did chicken scrach inBigreeal, classic images,a and movie collectors world..M ex wife was great at lists..she liked to explain small details and could spell. My talent was finding stuff..and a passion for the entire industry as my background is music, and a form agent and promotionsandideas... However lists ..to me were always tedious, boring, and beingadd the patience is a virtue i dont haeve

So adaptation to every setback Ive found that by offering package deals the collectors get great value. i get a sale of a good amut and can see some room made.and build a relationship like i did over the years with the buyers.. Itwas therts ofhow i started and ive come full circle ..when i had employees who would servce the clientt, they didnt have the latitude to offer deals and many of them were young and didnt knw the depth of genres of the industry orsee crsslinks of industry..and how they mesh .... I know ofso many experts inthis field who know so much more than me..butwhative found inthe 42 years is many ofthe bestpassed away thatknew so much..i used to say who will pay it forward?? as so manyofthe best are gone..the book writers, the specilaists..and now im one oftheold guys and i agree notworthy ad so much ofthe info has been distorted...as its a crazy business...Learn about posters has done a god jjob tryingto organize the history. butstill we all have opinions that i see issues with as I have been there at the time.. much happened and its been so different then what has been told. on many things..1st becayuse theposterwhere neever made to be sold...an dneverwas cnsidered to have a value.. thats being said its been the internet, auctions and interest that dictate what we sell or buy..

so...doing comps of prior sales is tough as much has no records of a sale...when i consider my personal view vs others its all opinions..and thats all most apraisels are based on is past sales records..if that model worked we could have price guides...however they can become obsolete atany time thats why most sell at auction..just look onlibe, or by themselves..

So what i do is try to offer a good deal, pack it well, and give fair prices..

and by selling as a group you get a great selection of varied items and we both win...most can be resold or traded off so its good for you and some of the gems can be saved in the archive as we frreally are juts stewards of the materials...aand i get a great joywheni pass it onto a collectors that has great passion for the stuff as i discover i have...

So i hope you will contact me as one gentleman did who bought most of my poster history books...I thought i have many catagorys of Books like westerns, serials, sci fi,studio history and other genres... next i will make up a lot of just decprative 3 d Memorabilia..ofasst stuff..forthe shelves and walls..for the gentleman...so just wanted to give a heads up... some i dont likeo se go asive had smeofths stuffsince beforei even started inlike the 70s...but its cool to se itgo to new homes and business,,and wheni sell a lot toa dealer they get to pass it onthefresh new yoingkids...one guy incalf is a libarian and he has the same passion i remeberwheni stated to get old history...he likes the Toled manufactures andso hes very happy withwhat i sold him andhes inCalf....

so thank you all for the consideration..i guess after i sell of this stuff ill still buy more if i run accross it as thats all ive done for 42 years is the same things....

selling hollywood has been a great diversion of life stress.. as it gets yourmind off the news and world issues andyou go back ina time machine..so we are kind lke visiting the people oftheindustry 24.7to keep the meories alive,,,,so i feel likethey look down onus and are hapy to know we didnt forget them....andhow much they impacted our lives...

OK thanks Folks havea great weds and god bless..

the ole Movie guy //I apeciate what super dealers like Morrie did and cant imagine having one millionofanything...but i tipmyhat the fact he saved that stuff justas Debbie Reynolds did and many others inthis crazy collectors business..for all you that saved the stuff.. salute!!!
