1st I want to say how thankful i am for all of you..
even the ones that gave me a hard time have beengreat teachers,,without
adversity we don't build Muscles..iflifes easy we dont know how to
handle obstacles,,
So many lessons are whenwe are taught byadversity how tocope, invent,
modify and survive
I have had some of the finest industry teachers who also struggled and
for some reason saw me nd stopped and offered advice...I have also hoped
they have learned from me..as all i am still in business 41 years later
is because of the help of others,,
I am about to ask some of the largest People in the Industry to help me
Grow my business
what i relized was in 1976 -77 many ofthepeple I worked with became
powerhouses of the industry..i didnt think at thetime butwe
werealltryingtofind our Future..many did great, many fell....including
Many of My customers...
but we got toleavea resume ofwho we were as people with others as faras
friends..
some abandoned me as Friends others became closer as we all saw thatmany
things contytribute tolife,,,the funniest thing ifanyone remebers ,,I
wantedtodanate my timetoaid kids and help nonprofits....I was refused by
so many nonprofits you would not believeitandi offer my ideas free
topay itforward...i fund that the mosthurtfull...oneagency fordisabled
said nope we dont need youinancapcity other thenthe weeekly envelope
asking for Cash....I thought but i was paid 100.00and hour todo what i
am offeringyou FREE tohelp thers..nopemany didnt evenreturn my calls or
if i sen a email they hinkim stupid becauseim Blind..yetI madeover
5million in my business ,sold to everymajor film studio andeverymedia
chainand video store intheworld..andi could not get a
answer......because 90% ofthepeople donthavea clue...was i hurt??yep.
but I felt sorry for peopel as many times theones thatwanttohelp are
shamed..andridiculed justlook at religious leaders.orpeacemakers many
end updead so a bruiised egeoaint shit.....andthe thing is never give
up...
whenPaul Lallen Just passed i thought wow he did so much and was smart
anda philantropy guyandsaved cinerama..andyet he was 65 ,,im 62,,,,an
nota billionaire..but I was given aso many breaks,,,,
so insummery...I amstillonthesame mission if i get thepartners i hopeI
plan to helprebuild my Biz theway i always wanted to withproper
finanace..I made that 5mill witha 10K short term loan andcredit
cards,,and terms withvendors andpaid as i went,,,no one opertes
thatway..I had NO CREDIT line atall i didnt evenknow what one
was....that 5mill was made between 1989 -1997..I also paid offa chap 12
andfinanced mytrademark lawsuit,,so basically itook a crash cource
intrademark Law as a paralegal andhelped myattys....we stopped
themin1993 andgota settlement...thenrecently thechinese
alsotryedtohijack again..this time thepatentoffice defended me
withthelaw....andmy attys were inwait if we had togo that way....plus a
congress womananda few ofthe hollywood people onthelevel of Hollywood
Modguls..
so I decidee i willBring them in as equity partners so they have a
vested interest,,andas they have done toadvise me andif need be Illlet
them run with itas many are smartinspecificares..likedigital
commerce..andmarketing..andpromotion andmuch more..Myex employee whonow
works fora huge hollywood director said Tom this could make millions !!i
sid Iknow ivealways known but at thetime raising my son seems better
then a mlalll route of stores,,so i was stayathome dad..butI flopped as
my marrige andfinances wee a mess andthenI got sick ,,,,, butI learned
howto be veryfrugal andpay thebills and beOK..
so my wish is to develope this with others andthen perhaps some
oftheideas i had could be done...MY bank was a 30K project andi sold
Paramountpicture a 30K order so i broke even butneededtomake tooling
,molds ,copyrights, packaging a 4 colot Box tht thecompany used as
asalsman sample as itwas so cool..it evenwas on Good morninamerica
withJoel Siegal....inNYC....
it was used topromote thefilm Plane ,trains and
automobiles....withMartinand Cady..
so I have many idea i justneverhad thefunds...so licensing would allow
me tonetwork withmanufactures thatcould make my Brand ofitems....andi
could co develope..as i justworked withChina making my embroidered
patches fora ballcap and we go along great andi had toapprove art and am
blind..partially so imagine mezoomingtheart andthey saysing its
solarge..we worked itoutandthepatchs are beautiful...i can geta tyist
totype my emailsanda assistant and a driver...soI canfind ways
aroundthis...andmygoal istoleave my son andfriends opportunity andsee
that kids are also helped todream Like i have,,,,as for the money i
hopei can liveoutlife comfortable so i willask fora advance so i can be
set anda smallpercentage of gross..andthenifthey want me on illhelp
ifthey want me outOK buy me out I figure they knw whats its worth as
they had to do this withmany similar deals andthe big worth is
thepotential..ofthebrand name inuse 41 years that will be a greatasset
toany entertainment firm ..anywhere...by givinga piece toall they have a
vested interest so itsoutofthierpockests also,,this is toocomplex
fortheaverage joe..ormyson so i dontwantto se anyone unsophisticated be
playedonignotrance...as peope lovetosteal suff butsomeofthem are
fairandso that my hope...I willalso belooking for friend ive grown up
with to mke part oftheDream andso let me know ifyou can see
thedream...as i basically was jusy a steward ofHollywood...andi see its
best topay it forward somany can be part ofit....i have some ideas i
willdevule tomydreamteam ifthey decide to be mymentors and run with
it....I think i know the busines wellona grand sacale as i sodltoboth
the advanced collectors andalso thenovice..I made my busines open to
everyone ofall classes and all ges and all collectingas i felt we
alllearned..from each other....so many great teachers andi wanttoinsure
they are neverforgoten..so yes iam partarchivist..andthats why I saved
so much thats considerd useless obsolete junk justas theposters were
orinmylife whenn oneliked videoposters,,I loved italland stilldo andi
stll see old movies as viable...andthe gear and theplayers andthecews
thatmade itallhappen..sowish me luck andi have ben waitingonthis
politicl Bullshit s I think thatwillhavea effecton everything
inthemarkets andmedia....so stay tuned im about ready to let youall
