Dave -happy belated birthday !! Mopo Folks!
Dave Rosen is one of the Good guys in Movie posters
It's been a honor to sell to him, hes honest. paid Prompt andwe always
had a smooth transaction
He is in Canada sotht can be a great cost to ship however, we always
worked it out, Dave is also a great political cartoonist, and has a vast
knowledge of Motion pictures. So his prices were always fair and im sure
you can get some great deals..
64?? wow retirement? I was just sent a mix of a political song I
recorded last spring or summer.1st song i recorded since 1978
My engineer studio producer is like71 or72 andstillrocks...many ofmy
friends arein 70s..so its a funnyperiod...as many are still doing stuff
into 60s....I should also be considering retirement..wheni was asked by
a Governement worker..so Tom what do you do for Fun ora hobby??? i said
wellthe samething i do for my income...as I like show business stuf..so
movies ,music . artsemm likea natural fit..
Ive been working sincei was expelled fromschool in 1971 fordrawing a
pictureinart Class of Led zepplin instead ofa floral scene..
somakinga super8 film, andmusic was my goal andthenselling Memorabilia
was justa way tosuppport the habit....somehow ive got to age 62 will
be63 inaug....
It's been Guys like Dave Rosen who have helped me pay my bills...and
many on Mopo who helped me make my experiences...and the network of
customers andfriends ive made on Mopo...
Dave,,,what ive learned is we can always stop or start up..many just
slow down because of health or cash flow, lack of interest.only to
rediscover it and return as for me its almost as fun seeing the
material sold as itwas to find it 45 years ago...and really cool when
it
makes new people Happy...
as what we are sharing in this incredible Memorabilia business is
simply
Memories....the memories conger up by pop culture of our entire lives
if
we grew up with it...or of the ones before us..if you go back to the
silent era...
Its a way to show respect for those before us inentertainment whocarved
out the business of entertainment and its been a great journey to honor
them..
for me its been so funny as many of the pioneers no one today seemsto
evenwant to talk about..even me...i just heard they dismantled the Roy
Rogers museum do to lack of interest....I think because people in thei
r
70s and80s 90s are packing it in...
yet its because ofthe crazycollectors most was saved forthefuture....so
ina small way the dealers of Memorabilia have beenthestewards of
Hollywood..andhavekept the memories alive,,,like most of Mopop.Morrie
evre ett with his vast collection..all the auctions like
Bruce,heritage,Maddelena..ERich and so many...
we all seem to be hitting 60s...andsomehigher...there seemsto be a few
younger ones.but the majority are over 50///
interesting time...Ive seenmany items pass around 2-3 tiemes so its
funny howthe material passes around...ive bought back stuffi sold
40years ago and resold it..
what ever you do im sure it will be done with great service and class
Dave...whenive considered what id do ifi stop doing what i have
done....I thought ..I would like to help Young people dream and pursue
thierdreamslikeI ws allowed to....as if we can pay the bills and have
fun its cool.
Do what you love and you never work a day in your life
semi-retirement?? i will believe it when i see it...
You are just re-charging
Good luck my friend!
God bless

Okay, SEMI-retiring (I will continue to dabble as a hobby).
I just turned 64 and have decided to make more room in my life for
other things - like travel, writing and art - while I still can.
So I am putting my entire inventory up for sale. I'm willing to sell
smaller lots but I'd prefer to move it all.
Obviously, I will be selling at discounted wholesale prices.
This is open to dealers AND collectors. The more you buy, the better
the discount.
You can peruse the stuff on the website and/or get in touch with me
and I'll send you an Excel file with everything listed.
Just let me know what you are interested in and I'm sure we can make a
deal.
All the best,
Dave Rosen
