Part II of eMoviePoster.com's incredible March Major Auction ends in hours
(starting at 7 PM CST) at
http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/13.html and this part of the
auction is a "major auction" all by itself!

How so? It contains 315 larger linenbacked & unbacked posters, plus
half-sheets, serial pressbooks, and much more, and there are some groups of
items deserving of specific mention. What are some of these?

1) This Part II contains an amazing collection of 143 "oversized"
linenbacked posters (at
http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/tag/extra%253Alinen/13.html)!
"Oversized" means they ship in tubes over 32" wide (all linens that ship in
tubes 32" or smaller were in Part I). These oversized linens are of all
types and genres (including 8 three-sheets and 4 six-sheets, 31 French
one-panels, 35 Italian one-panels and 10 two-panels, and many others,
including an incredible 1929 Austrian poster from their premiere of The
Jazz Singer), and the only thing they all have in common is that they are
all rare and desirable! Many of these are ones we have never offered before.

But as of right now, a LOT of these are WAY under the cost of linenbacking
alone! Since these large posters often cost $200 to $300 each to linenback
(or more), the lowest priced of these represent insanely great bargains
(look for yourself and when you see 31 of then under $25 each, you KNOW I
am not exaggerating!).

2) This Part II also contains 71 of the most rare pressbooks known to exist
(at
http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/tag/xtype%253Apressbook/13.html),
including a remarkable collection of pressbooks based on comic book and
comic strip characters! These were created by studios and were SOLELY sent
to theater owners to try to get them to book upcoming serials, but how many
theaters cared about ordering posters for serials, where they only showed a
chapter at a time? That might account for why these are SO incredibly rare!

Many of these 71 pressbooks are the only one I have EVER seen. You likely
know that that there are now MILLION dollar comic books, and in almost
every case, there are dozens (or hundreds) of each of those million dollar
comics known to exist. Yet these pressbooks, which came out near the same
time as those million dollar comics are mostly either the only example
known, or likely one of a tiny number known, at the very most. Yet they
will likely sell for a tiny fraction of what those million dollar comics
sell for, and that does not make any sense at all to me. So unless there is
a lot more bidding in the final hours on these pressbooks, then sensational
deals will be made on these items that are among the rarest of all movie
paper collectibles!

3) This Part II also contains five 24-sheets (at
http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/tag/xtype%253Atwenty-four%2520sheet/13.html)
and one Italian billboard poster (from Last Year at Marienbad, at
http://auctions.emovieposter.com/bidding.taf?_function=detail&auction_uid1=5358901).
These are actual unused billboard sized movie posters from the 1960s and
1970s, including two with Saul Bass art (from Exodus and Advise and
Consent), with great graphics. We have seen websites advertising billboard
posters like these for hundreds or thousands of dollars each, and yet, with
hours to go, the prices range from $43 to $112, with one at $262!

4) This Part II also contains six ultra-rare Jumbo Window Cards (at
http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/tag/xtype%253Ajumbo%2520window%2520card/13.html).
In the 1930s, studios made these 22" x 28" sized window cards, which were
like regular 14" x 22" window cards, but much larger, and they are MANY
times more rare! Five of the six offered here are from the 1930s and have
wonderful graphics, and the sixth is from Ray Harryhausen's first movie,
Mighty Joe Young!.

5) This Part II also contains 28 great 22" x 28" half-sheets (at
http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/tag/xtype%253Ahalf-sheet/13.html)!
These range from the 1910s to the 1970s, with most from the 1930s to the
1950s. What they all have in common is that they are either from great
movies or have great graphics (or BOTH!), and yet many of them are
currently FAR below where the same or similar posters have sold for in the
past (and many of these we have either never previously auctioned, or only
auctioned one or two times)!

6) I really need to mention that this Part II also contains a remarkable
1915 Italian 78" x 109" poster from "Filibus" (at
http://auctions.emovieposter.com/Bidding.taf?_function=detail&Auction_uid1=5358996).
This was made over one hundred years ago, and to say that screenwriter
Giovanni Bertinetti was "ahead of his time" is a massive understatement! He
believed in women's equality and gender fluidity long before it began to
enter the mainstream, and he wrote those themes into this super early
sci-fi movie, which is about a mysterious female sky pirate who makes
daring heists using her airship.

The lead character performs amazing crimes that involved James Bond-like
gadgets (including miniaturized cameras), but perhaps most interesting of
all, the female criminal was a master of disguise who impersonated men as
well as women, and there are scenes of the criminal seducing women while in
disguise as a man, thus adding a lesbian/bi-sexual component to the movie!
The poster we are offering has an incredible image of a flying airship
lowering the female sky pirate to the ground in a bucket that is suspended
from the airship.

What is fascinating about this poster is that the airship appears to be
made entirely of metal, whereas planes of this time were made entirely of
wood, because aviation at that point had no ability to make a metal plane
fly, due to its great weight. Yet somehow, the author of the movie and the
source story was able to predict the future and see a time when flying
metal planes would have solved the difficulty of making super heavy metal
aircraft fly!

We previously auctioned a different example of this "Filibus" poster, and
it sold for $5,800. Now we have been consigned a second example of this
poster, which is the second poster of any kind from this movie we have ever
auctioned (and this example is in better condition than the one we
auctioned in 2017). People use the term "museum quality" lightly, but this
poster absolutely deserves that title!

I could go on and on about what else this amazing set of auctions contain,
but I would much rather you see them for yourselves at
http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/13.html!

Often in these last day promos, I talk about how many items are still at
very low prices with hours left until they start to close (and there ARE 79
items currently at just $33 or under) but what is really worth pointing out
is that, at the current bid prices, it is likely that a lot of these items
(at all price levels) will sell to dealers, who will then re-offer them for
two, three or many times what they paid. Remember that if YOU are such a
reseller, we make it super-easy for you to do so, since we will supply the
buyers with unwatermarked images of all they buy (on request) and they can
even "borrow" our movie and condition descriptions, so they can have their
purchases re-listed to their websites (or eBay) just as soon as they
receive them!

Remember also that we have NO reserves or buyers premiums (so EVERY item
will really have a new owner when each auction ends, at exactly the final
bid price, plus the actual cost of shipping), and we also have honest
condition grading, and unenhanced super-sized images of every item
(especially important when you are buying items that have been restored,
and must trust the honesty of the auction house).

That is why it is SO important that not only DON'T we have "Buyer Beware"
(which every other auction house falls back on, which means YOU are stuck
when THEY make a mistake, intentional or accidentally), but what we DO have
is that we stand behind everything we auction, with a lifetime guarantee on
all we auction (something NO other auction offers), so you can bid and buy
with confidence.

All of our 47,715+ past buyers from our 1,554,000+ completed auctions over
the past 29 years (and over 87 million dollars in sales) KNOW that we
always do exactly what we say we will, whether you spend five dollars or
five thousand dollars! Please go to the above links right away and I think
you will find the current bid prices on these great (and rare) items of
every kind irresistible. There are almost surely going to be great buys
made, but YOU can't get them if you aren't bidding!
