samestoryofpassion and why i fitinto Mopop...Alandislikea brother...1st
hes jewish,,I am always surprised as Im sicilian..andi getalong with
Jew,germans,austrians,Italians,greeks, Irish,scottis, French,
British...Canadians best even Japan .Btrazikl, portugal, sweden.
africa.andisrael,lebononm,, egpt..andpoland.Russia<phillipines, and
China....
basically i love everybody...
so whenI heardthis..as alan seems like oneofthemost add people i
know...I saw that we all see by th time we arein 60s.70s 80s that whats
the most importantpartof collecting is thelove we
share..andimatthepointwherei get so much joy in seeingothers be happy
gettingmy memotrabilia and sharingthe loveof movies thenI did
gettingit....as soonill be 63 andI wontbeneeding money or stuff onethe
nextplace....soforallthat loveitLikei know all mopoo does...I thank you
for allowing meontheride withyou...Ill do itas longas able..asI was
asked bya government office what doyou do forFun as a hobby??I said
thesamethingive done as a living...whenim not working iliketogo to
garage sale,flea markets,bookshops,collectorshops and love to find
stuff....
My last big buy was a 77 year old man who was a customer..who sold
mehgisstuff,,books,lobbys,..postersandodd ball stuff he had saved
fromshows..and bought from me..i see things passed around 2-3 times...as
i buy back stuffi sold..projectors to me are like Puppies andim the
projector rescue....not because i make loadsof cash as they area losing
commodity..but like the clicking sound asit gives me nostalgia feel..
one recent customer boughta moviola justto haveinhisroom as he
remeberedthemhes handicapped so he wont edit..butitmakes him feel
good....I was so happy toservehim as icanrelate to the frustrationof
being unableto do what we did 40years ago..whenyoung..but its so coolto
hear Alans story as dumpster diving isinmy blood too anditwasnt the
money itwas the passion of saving stuff thatwasthemotivation....heck I
paid 3.00 a poster back in 1977 and many i passed up bec i didnt think
id ever see whan they would sell for more then 9.50 LOL
