and lobby cards courtesy of Ira Resnick..the exhibit focuses on the 30's
40's and 50's..focuses on illustrating how hollywood studios by choosing
the images for their advertising portray and have influenced sexual norms
and perhaps not so norm for the time they were produced..go to the MoMA
website and you can read in more detail about the exhibit..the exhibit runs
through june 12th and i would say if yr in the city its worth a look..the
museum has a wonderful Miro exhibit and is currently showing famous peices
by Picaaso, Van Gogh and Wyeth among others..the website has all the images
from the exhibition..the exhibition also had select video clips from a
handful of movies ..most of which we've all seen but they really bring the
points being made home ...the clips included Possessed 1931(great scene of
crawford and wallace ford ...20th century... and baby face..Cheers Alan
