I am telling you this the day after we added them, because we want to be sure you are aware of them, and because we want to be sure you don't "run out of time" to check them all out, because there are so many of them! What is really great about these 999 autographed items is that they make incredible gifts! Everybody has some people on their "gift list" who are hard or impossible to buy for, but everybody has a favorite star or movie, and there is a good chance that we have a signed item from that star or movie, and you might be able to buy it for a really reasonable price (because every item started at $1 with no reserve), and a signed photo, poster, or other signed item makes a really unique gift that the recipient is sure to really appreciate! There are two things I want to point out about this set of auctions that is different from almost all of our previous all signed auctions: 1) The first is that this time we have a lot of non-movie signed items. There is a great group of signed photos from astronauts (including a great Neil Armstrong) and early aviation pioneers, famous poets, authors, and much more. So don't think this auction is just movie related signed items, because it contains so much more. 2) For the first time, we are auctioning a group of 27 items (mostly German Ross postcards and other postcards, but also including a letter that Louise Brooks wrote to Mr. Wahl and signed) from the estate of legendary collector Jan Wahl. Mr. Wahl wrote over 100 children's books and received many awards, including the Coretta Scott King Prize. Throughout his career, he had a great love of silent film, and he collected many items from silent films, including the 27 items we are currently auctioning. Some of them are framed, because they were on the walls of Mr. Wahl's house! This is a rare opportunity to purchase autographed items from great silent film stars that have a wonderful provenance!
