eMoviePoster.com has 461 mini WCs, U.S. heralds, comics & comix, reviewer collection of presskits and more closing Sunday (two days from now) at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/15.html!
What is in this set of auctions? This auction is a "catch-all" auction where we put several types of items that we rarely auction (some incredibly rarely), but which DO fit in our standard size mailers. This time we are solely auctioning comic books, underground comix, U.S. heralds, mini window cards, and a wonderful collection of presskits, 8x10 stills, and more (all from a movie reviewer). There are a LOT of very unusual items in this set of auctions, some of which you might never see again, and there is a real chance you might "miss" ones you might be interested in, so you really want to take some extra time looking them all over, to keep that from happening, because if you miss bidding, you might not see them again for many YEARS, if ever! If you just like making incredible deals (whether to add to your collection, or as a dealer to re-sell), then THIS really is the set of auctions for you. Maybe it is because many of our bidders are not familiar with these exact types of items, but with two days to go, 164 of these items are at just $1 and 278 are at just $1 to $5. Here are some more details about the types of items we are currently auctioning: 1) At the very start of the auctions we have TEN ultra-rare mini window cards, which often have an image that is similar to the one-sheet from that movie. These are many times more rare than lobby cards from the same movies, and they have a vertical orientation, so they are "mini posters", yet perhaps because they are so rare, they sometimes sell for bargain prices! 2) Next we have 57 items from the personal collection of Nevart Apikian, including presskits, scripts, 8x10 stills, and much more. Nevart Apikian wrote an entertainment column for the Syracuse Post Standard for nearly 50 years. These items were acquired from her estate after her passing. Over the past few years, we have auctioned some of the items from her collection, but now, we have been consigned 57 excellent items that we are auctioning all at once, in 57 separate auctions! This collection consists of promotional material this columnist was sent from studios about movies that were about to open, in order to help her write a more complete review of the movies. In some cases, she was invited to special premieres and publicity events! She was often sent presskits or sets of stills, but often the studio included additional items, some of which were never sent to theaters, and were likely only sent to other columnists. This collection includes sets of stills, presskits, and other items, and all of the sets of stills and presskits come with supplements, and in some cases they have areas underlined or noted on the fronts and some have long handwritten information within by Ms. Apikian, from when she either watched the premiere or conducted interviews with people connected to the movie, in preparation writing her review. While we have auctioned sets of stills or presskits from all of these movies before, many of them contain additional items that we have NEVER auctioned before (and may never auction again, given that they were likely only sent to a select group of reviewers). 3) Next we have 31 underground comix. These were mostly printed in the 1960s and 1970s (although we also have a few later re-printings, and we always clearly identify if they are). These have become REALLY collectible the past few years, and this auction contains some really scarce ones! 4) Next we have 131 U.S. heralds which includes a wonderful group of very rare 1910s, 1920s and 1930s titles! One look at these and you will know that this is one of our best U.S. herald offerings ever! 5) Finally, we have a really nice selection of 229 comic books. This is far and away our best offering of comics books ever! A few of our consignors, who had collections of comics from when they were kids sent them to us, and we took the later ones out and auctioned those in bulk lots last week, and these are the best ones, and yet every one really started at $1 with no reserve, and no awful buyers premiums either. So every one of these will really sell to the highest bidder, even if that highest bid is just $1. And because we are not known for selling comic books, there may be lots of real deals (and maybe some real "steals")! As you can see, this set of auctions includes a really varied assortment of all types of "non-standard" collectibles. Even if you have never purchased some or any of these types of items before I strongly urge you to look them over, because I think seeing them (and their low, low current bid prices) may well convince you to place some or many bids on these cool items of all sorts! <http://www.avg.com/email-signature?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> Virus-free. www.avg.com <http://www.avg.com/email-signature?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> <#DAB4FAD8-2DD7-40BB-A1B8-4E2AA1F9FDF2> Visit the MoPo Mailing List Web Site at www.filmfan.com ___________________________________________________________________ How to UNSUBSCRIBE from the MoPo Mailing List Send a message addressed to: [email protected] In the BODY of your message type: SIGNOFF MOPO-L The author of this message is solely responsible for its content.
