greetings from Italy, even if I don't have good news.
Probably many of you know or have dealt in the past with the Italian poster
dealer Umberto Passini.
Well, here's some story for you. I will try to be short
In January 2019 I sent him 2400 euros because he was acting as "middle man"
for another Italian guy selling his collection out. Another friend of mine
did the same.
We never saw the material and we still are waiting for our money back.
After a few days he left for London where he got stuck because of the
lockdown. Initially he did not even answer the phone, then he changed
attitude and said he never paid the guy and he claimed to have problems
accessing paypal, to his Bank account etc. He promised to fix everything up
as soon as possible. We believed him. Now, he's been back in Italy for 3
months and he's just fooling around with us, with childish excuses and fake
promises (lies) every week.
This situation is incredible. I know the guy since 10 years, he's always
been lazy, but I would have never imagined he could be a thief.
Unfortunately, after 10 months of patience and trust, I have to accept this
possibility.
So, first of all, if someone is in the same situation with Passini, please
contact me. I'm trying to find out how many people sent him money before
going to the Italian Police.
I also kindly ask you (and warmly suggest you) not to deal with this guy
until this shameful situation is cleared out.
