It is definitely a challenge. The problem I have with it is the fact that it often takes at least 5 days from the point of purchase until the money gets to my bank account. I have talked with several reps at ebay about that. I don't want to ship an item until I make sure the payment is in my bank account. So, I have customers wondering why it's taking so long to ship and item. I explain it and they said they didn't know anything about it. The reps at ebay I talked to gave mixed messages. A couple told me that once ebay has the payment, I am safe to ship the item, even though I don't have the payment yet. A few others told me that if they were selling, they would wait until the payment is actually in the bank account. Plus, they don't count holidays or weekends as "payout" days, so that slows the process even more. In addition, the managed payment plan hasn't been implemented in all countries, so I've had to have customers in countries where the plan isn't implemented yet, who bought an item and were unable to complete the transaction, actually go into ebay.com (U.S.) to complete the transaction. It was so much trouble for them, that a few of them cancelled the sale.
The other thing I have an issue with is that ebay is charging fees on the sale tax. I don't see how that is legal unless they are charging the fee as "accountant" fees like they are doing the work for you submitting the sales tax and charging you a fee to do it, which still seams no right.
