Since most of these 368 linenbacked posters were linenbacked at a cost
of between $50 to $250 each (depending on the size of the poster and
the amount of restoration needed), the current bid price is often
under (or WAY under!) the cost of linenbacking alone! Of course, there
are also many of these that are in the high hundreds or thousands of
dollars as well, because they are great rarities that will deservedly
sell for high amounts, but even many of those are currently at low
prices, relative to past sales!
I think you will find the current bid prices on at least some of these
low enough that you can't resist placing a few bids, and there are
almost surely going to be great buys made Thursday, but YOU can't get
them if you aren't bidding!
What distinguishes OUR major auctions from other major auctions? The
lack of any reserves or buyers premiums, honest condition grading, and
unenhanced super-sized images! PLUS, ours is the ONLY major auction
that completely honestly describes the "pre-restoration" condition of
all restored items. This is especially important when you are buying
linenbacked posters
