Our April Major Auction had amazing results. It is not just the individual very highest results we are referring to, because it had sensational results across the board. When you look over all the results (not just our major auctions, but ALL our auctions!), it is clear that we have far and away our best buyers EVER, paying really high prices for quality items (and sometimes world record prices). And it is also clear we are the number one movie paper auction, and that we are "pulling away from the field". Clearly collectors everywhere are showing their preference for honest no reserve auctions with no buyers premiums, and when you can see WHO is bidding on items, and WHEN they bid, and HOW much (every other major auction now hides this information, making them shill bidders paradise). And collectors are showing they will pay more when they can know for certain that items are honestly photographed and described. Another auction company had a major auction just a few days ahead of our April Major Auction, and the differences were striking. Not only did all their much promoted top items fail to meet the reserve and did not sell at all, but they also had some top items that duplicated ones we auctioned just a few days later. In every case but one, our example sold for substantially more than theirs (the one exception was a poster where they incorrectly identified it as being from the first release, and we correctly identified it as being from a re-release some 30 years later, and we feel very sorry for that bidder who was deceived into paying way too much).
