I have found myself with a *MOST *unusual problem, one I have *NEVER *before faced in 31 years of running major poster auctions!
*What is it? I have wanted to "slow down", so starting next month, I not only announced that I would only run auctions once every four weeks (down from bi-weekly, which itself was down from weekly), AND that my next major auction would all be held in a single day, rather than three days or even more like the ones the past years have been.* On the surface, this made perfect sense. With more and more companies running poster auctions, it has been getting harder for most auctions to assemble a "major auction", and most of them are only able to accomplish this by re-running massive amounts of "pretend sold" stuff from previous auctions. And I too have felt this. Since all my auctions really sell (they truly are all no reserve) the number of "major" items I offer in each such auction has been steadily falling (because I won't lower my standards), to around 700 in my most recent ones. Taking that into account, I announced that my first monthly auctions starting July 13th and 15th would be "regular" auctions, and that my July Major Auction would take place on ONE day, starting on July 18th. *So far, so good! But then the consignments starting rolling in. And in and in and in! Before long I was over 1.000 items. with lots more in transit. And I realized it just didn't make sense to run all those items at once.* *Think I am exaggerating about how many great items it contains? See our latest preview ad here: https://www.emovieposter.com/online/previews/202107JulyMajor/20210630_july_preview.jpg <https://www.emovieposter.com/online/previews/202107JulyMajor/20210630_july_preview.jpg> And see lots more preview items HERE: https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major#july2021consign <https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign_major#july2021consign>* So I knew it made no sense to insist on all that great material ending all at once. Yet I do not think it is "fair" to the "regular" items that were scheduled to start the 13th and 15th. *SO I AM MAKING THE FOLLOWING CHANGES:* *All the "flat" items scheduled for the 13th will still start then, but ADDED TO THEM are the "flat" non-linen items from the July Major Auction, and it is now "Part I"!* *And all the "rolled" items scheduled for the 13th will still start then, but ADDED TO THEM are the "rolled" non-linen items from the July Major Auction, and it is now "Part II"!* *And all the linenbacked items will still start the 18th, and those will be Part III of the July Major Auction. And everyone will have three nights in which to watch these amazing items close, and then can use that extra time to better plan their bidding strategy.* And while this was a real "problem" for me, in the big scheme of things it is a problem I would love to have again someday! So please go to our site July *THIRTEENTH*, when Part I of this wonderful auction starts! <http://www.avg.com/email-signature?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> Virus-free. www.avg.com <http://www.avg.com/email-signature?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> <#DAB4FAD8-2DD7-40BB-A1B8-4E2AA1F9FDF2> Visit the MoPo Mailing List Web Site at www.filmfan.com ___________________________________________________________________ How to UNSUBSCRIBE from the MoPo Mailing List Send a message addressed to: [email protected] In the BODY of your message type: SIGNOFF MOPO-L The author of this message is solely responsible for its content.
