good news Kirby. I've shipped Guitars over the years and they were quite
;large boxes and it was length width and girth
however the seems to change from day to day..
we used to have surface mail by ship//then they said air post only and
when shipped to UL or au or Spain or Germany it was ever different,,,so
I used Bak global that was bought by dbshrenker of Germany
I used then to she[ to Ja[am and they did hood job
when stared we had a personal sale person From UPS a act manager
then as they got bigger they wanted large vendors but now that Amazon,
walmarts has in house shipping sees fed ex wants the little guys again
whats odd is the shippers would ad hidden fees as I had daily pick up
then went direct to PO and shipped there and paid on the spot so I
didn't get surprise bills...then eBay started where you could use their
shippingandprinta label
I still use old school mailing labels :) one PO clerk never saw a label
not sure they even make them anymore
same with stamps I like to get envelopes with ornate stamps
one friend made pinbacks from postage stamps
peace and love

I'd check your sources if you have heard other than this.
And you are free to correct me if I'm wrong.
It's been a while since we shipped a linenbacked six sheet vis USPS.
We mostly use FedEx for that now.
