Wow, Todd, what did you have for breakfast today?

Nice to see that conspiracy theories spilled over to the Academy Award ceremony,

The "Oscars" are a joke!! The ratings are abysmal and have been declining
each and every year. No one watches anymore because at least 95% of what
Hollywood puts out these days and has been for many years is TOTAL GARBAGE!!
And that's putting it nicely!!

You have these so called "stars" with no talent, writers and producers who
regurgitate and remake every movie and TV Show from the past, because they
can't create or think of anything new. And it clearly shows in the poor
product.

Hollywood has been woke for a long time but now the Academy has taken it to a
new level with their new politically correct "rules."

How about just basing things on merit? Remember that old fashioned word merit?
That word just doesn't exist these days in the ridiculous woke culture of
2022. Just think of all the classic films, like Gone With the Wind which would
be impossible to be made in today's Hollywood.

This is why the ratings have been declining each and every year because most
people are sick and tired of this garbage. So, the Academy is now so desperate
for attention they create this "stunt," yes, that's right, stunt for last night
Oscars.

When I first heard about what happened last night, I figured it had to be real,
until I heard some people talking about saying that the more they looked at the
video, it looked like a setup. So, I looked and if you slow it down, it looks
like Will Smith doesn't actually make contact and that the sound of him hitting
Chris Rock, happens before he supposedly makes contact. Now, if Will Smith
actually did smack Chris Rock as hard as it looked, he would have knocked Chris
Rock off his feet or at least made him move considerably off his position but
he kept his feet pretty much firmly planted. In addition, right afterwards
when Will Smith is walking away, look at his face and Chris Rocks. They're
both smiling. If Will Smith was as pissed as he was supposed to be, he
wouldn't be smiling, at least at that point, when he's supposed to be enraged.
So, no, I don't buy it.

So, now. What is everyone talking about today? Yes, that's right. It's the
Oscars and that is EXACTLY what they wanted you to be talking about!!

Just my two cents.

It wasn't a punchline but the In Memoriam was especially tasteless this year
with a whole production number obscuring the memory of those who passed away.
They also left out Jane Withers, Dwayne Hickman, Pat Hitchcock, Ed Asner and
many others. Why not an instrumental background? And Norman Lloyd got one
second (approx)

I"ll weigh in. It was a sorry moment in the history of the Oscars, and it will
be remembered as a sorry footnote to an otherwise lively presentation. Chris
Rock can be funny, but he, in my opinion, can also veer into the unfunny /
tasteless. Will Smith, in his acceptance speech, looked like a man who had
encountered the worst aspects of himself (we all have them!) in front of
millions of people. His acceptance speech was served with big dollops of
self-pity, and a reluctant, inspecific apology. Chris Rock soldiered on.
That's what professionals do.

Hooray for the Academy organization for addressing diversity through inclusion
and for coming back from the covid abyss. And kudos to the Academy members for
their votes, which I thought were well taken.

I thought the pictures and performances this year were especially worthy, both
the winners and the others. I won't call them losers, because they aren't.

Ouch!

I don't know when he finally processed it or if Jada egged him on but Will
Smith laughed pretty hard at the joke.

Best moment since the streaker!
