Hi Alan ..I have quite a large collection Of laser disks… Many deluxe box
sets with various books and reproduction lobby cards… I do watch some of
them occasionally… I have found that some of the earliest ones in the
collection have undergone laser rot but most still play nicely.. as
concerns laser disc players the pioneer elite series was always considered
pretty much the best that was out there… To find one in pristine condition
with the remote is difficult these days and people still ask a lot of money
for those, relatively… although most people would agree that the laser
disks were an improvement over VHS tape somewhere very poorly produced and
not much better… It’s interesting that VHS tape in terms of collecting is
making a comeback and I’ve looked into that and although I have a large
collection of VHS tapes as well not the ones that collectors seem to be
after… I don’t think this is going to happen with laser disks but who
knows… Best Alan
