Maybe not so well known to US members but greatly loved here in UK, the
actor Bernard Cribbins has sadly departed his mortal coil. Probably best
known in film for his performance in The Railway Children and a couple of
the Carry On movies, he was often seen on TV in programs such as Dr Who and
Fawlty Towers, as well as being the voice of the Wombles. A wonderful
character actor with great comic timing.
