For years I’ve saved torn, dismembered, shredded and trashed posters
and pieces of posters that had no poster life left to give and made
collages out of them. 10 different posters, credits, title fragments
and all going into one. A rebirth of sorts. I have 2 inserts hanging
on my walls that exist in no other collection on earth. EIGHTEEN
ANXIOUS SINNERS FROM HELL and Randolph Scott in SECRETS OF THE VALLEY
OF THE GOLDEN MISTRESS. I believe they are my 2 favorite posters!

With color printer quality being pretty good, just print them off
the web and cut away. One never knows if one of the posters in the
bulk item becomes a treasure! That's the fun of buying the bulk
items. Also they're great party gifts and may start someone on the
path to collecting!

Cinema owners used to do it as well. I have two lots on my
website, as I couldn‘t find it in my heart to throw them
away.
This one would cost about €2000 if complete:

For a Bond display, they cut up two copies of the original
German
DR. NO poster, plus an extremely rare double-panel for FROM
RUSSIA
WITH LOVE, among others:

I always thought they are perfect if someone wants to do a
Bond
or Western collage and I think 5% of the value of the
complete
posters is a reasonable price for these.

Betreff: [MOPO] destroying posters ???
collages are beautiful........
i have always wanted to put a collage of posters in the
bathroom outside my movie room where i have so top posters
hanging. i have just refurbished that area with new walls,
tiles,
etc.
is it wrong to cut posters and show just about 25% of each
poster for the purpose of making a collage? obviously none
would
be hitchock, or silent movies, of bogart.
but i can get 25-50 poster lots from bruce emosvieposter.
should i do it?
michael
