*RIP David McCallum :(Most may remember him from his star turn in TV's The Man From Uncle (as the Russian secret agent Illya Kuryakin), but for ME far and away his best role was as Ashley-Pitt 'Dispersal' in The Great Escape. He also was wonderful in 1991's Hear My Song and he added much to every role he played.He was a Scottish film and television actor starting in the 1950s. While making The Great Escape he introduced his then-wife Jill Ireland to one of his co-stars, Charles Bronson, and several years later, she married Bronson and they were married for a long time. McCallum had worked steadily throughout the years, appearing in TV's "NCIS" as Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard since 2003.
