*THIS IS IT! If you want to consign to eMoviePoster.com's great April Major
Auction, your VERY last chance to send consignments is TOMORROW, February
23rd. WE CAN'T EXTEND THIS DEADLINE, SO BE SURE TO GET YOUR ITEMS ON THE
WAY FRIDAY (if you have not done so already)!Have you consigned to us
LATELY? Please know that in the past year we have changed some things about
our consignment terms (most importantly that we accept no more "bulk" items
at all), and that ALL consignments need to now be solidly $30 or more ($50
or more for lesser condition). Please go
to https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign
<https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign> and read our "no
fine print" simple explanation of how it works and exactly what we charge,
which you WON'T find on any other major auctions' websites (likely because
they are ashamed of how very much they charge!).And speaking of "other
major auctions", if you have ever wondered WHY such a high percentage of
collectors choose eMoviePoster.com over ANY other auction when it comes
time to consign, please look at the bottom of this email for ABSOLUTE proof
on how much less we charge than ANY other major auction (at EVERY price
level, from the lowest to the highest). HONESTLY THE DIFFERENCE IS
STAGGERING!We already have received over EIGHT HUNDRED excellent
consignments for our April Major Auction, which will run from 3/24 to 4/14!
See just a few of them in the images below (and ALL of them are guaranteed
to be in this very special auction). As always, we most want items that are
rare AND desirable, and we most want ones that we either have NEVER
auctioned before, or only auctioned once or twice! Why not contact us today
with what you have?THIS is what distinguishes OUR auctions so MUCH from
every other auction. OUR major auctions are filled with true rarities!
THEIRS have a "round up the suspects" feel where they take the same items
down from the shelf of previously auctioned items, over and over and
over!SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER ABOUT CONSIGNING TO OUR MAJOR
AUCTIONS! While all linenbacked or paperbacked posters (except those in
lesser condition, unless they are EXTREMELY desirable otherwise) are fine
for the major auctions, NON-backed items need to be TRULY rare and
desirable items that realistically sell for $300 each or more, or they make
more sense for our "regular" auctions. All of you surely have seen that our
regular auctions now contain MORE AND MORE "better" items (and of course
FEWER AND FEWER "lesser" items) so please don't feel you are shortchanging
your items by consigning them to our regular auctions instead of the major
ones!Look at ANY of our recent results from our "regular" auctions! For
example, look at our very recently closed 1,875 Tuesday auctions
at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/11.html
<https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/11.html> for absolute proof of how
many high quality items are included in our "regular" auctions, including
lots of ones that not too long ago would have been included in the Major
Auctions!I have seen time and time again that these deadlines have a way of
slipping by for many consignors, and every major auction we get some
anguished last minute emails from people asking for "more time" to send.
But that creates MAJOR headaches for us, so we will have to stick firmly to
our deadline, so send your consignments RIGHT NOW on Friday so they will
make this great auction!AND HERE IS ABSOLUTE PROOF YOU GET FAR MORE
CONSIGNING TO US THAN ANY OTHER MAJOR AUCTION (at EVERY price level, from
the lowest to the highest)! On 12/7/2023, another major auction company sold
an example of the one-sheet from The Empire Strikes Back that has unedited
Kastel art, and it sold for $20,000. On 12/19/2023 (12 days later), our
company, eMoviePoster.com, sold a different example of the one-sheet from
The Empire Strikes Back that has unedited Kastel art, for $21,500.I am NOT
bragging about the $1,500 difference, because in the big scheme of things,
getting a 7.5% difference in price is not that big a deal, and it COULD
have gone either way. And I am not saying that we did a "better" job, or
that the other auction did a "lesser" job, or that theirs was in better
condition, because we use different grading scales. But this brings up a
great point. A few collectors (especially "newbies") have a perception that
the auctions that print fancy catalogs and have giant showrooms sometimes
get more money than we do. BUT THIS IS NOT BORNE OUT IN ACTUAL RESULTS!
When you compare "like items" (apples to apples and oranges to oranges),
you will find that we at eMoviePoster.com often DO get more than the "fancy
catalog" auctions. This is almost surely because we describe the condition
far and away the best of ANY auction anywhere, and we ALWAYS post
completely unenhanced images of what we are auctioning. THIS takes away the
"fear factor" so many collectors have when buying from auctions that can't
always be trusted to accurately grade what they are auctioning, and who
sometimes will enhance an image to make it appear better than it is.But
back to what I was saying about the difference in the price WE received for
our Empire Strikes Back one-sheet and what the other auction got for their
Empire Strikes Back one-sheet. What I AM focusing on is the GIGANTIC
difference in how much money the CONSIGNORS of the two posters received,
and why THIS says so much about where YOU should consign! What do I mean?
The poster at that other auction sold for $16,000 "hammer" price, plus a
25% "buyers premium, for a total of $20,000.The consignor of that poster
paid 15% of the hammer price in commission, $2,400, so HE RECEIVED $13,600
OUT OF THE $20,000 SALE! The poster at eMoviePoster.com sold for $21,500
"hammer" price, plus ZERO PERCENT "buyers premium, for a total of
$21,500.The consignor of our poster paid 10% of the hammer price in
commission, $2,150, so HE RECEIVED $19,350 OUT OF THE $21,500 SALE!SO OUR
CONSIGNOR RECEIVED $19,350, AND THE OTHER CONSIGNOR RECEIVED $13,600, A
DIFFERENCE OF FIVE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS!AND EVEN IF THE
OTHER POSTER HAD SOLD FOR $25,000 AND OURS HAD SOLD FOR $20,000, OUR
CONSIGNOR WOULD STILL HAVE RECEIVED $1,000 MORE, EVEN THOUGH HIS POSTER
SOLD FOR $5,000 LESS!And this is not solely true with super expensive
items! Go to https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign#intro
<https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign#intro> On that page
you will find a detailed breakdown of what happens to someone who consigns
a poster that sells for $15,000 at both auctions. Also for posters that sell
for $1,200, $600, $100, and $30 at both auctions, and THE COMPARATIVE
RESULTS ARE PRETTY SHOCKING. When you compare, there is NO comparison!
$13,200 or $10,000 for a $15,000 poster? $960 or $800 for a $1,200
poster?$468 or $375 for a $600 poster? $72 or $53 for a $100 poster? And
the most SHOCKING of all, 15 DOLLARS or 75 cents for a $30 poster? So if YOU
have posters you have considered selling, shouldn't you consign them to
eMoviePoster.com, where you get so MUCH more money for equivalent selling
prices?When you go to https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign
<https://www.emovieposter.com/learnmore/?page=consign> you will ALSO find a
complete and transparent explanation of exactly how consigning to us works!
And we CLEARLY state exactly what we charge at every price level, something
you can't find at any other major auction site. And if YOU have items to
consign to our April Major Auction, please remember they MUST be on their
way in one day on Friday! And of course it is also fine to send
consignments to our regular "every four week" auctions at ANY time, and
now, thanks to our being more exclusive in what we accept, we can almost
always get your items into the very next set of auctions!*
