interesting Thought Bruce

In my experience Ive Found sometimes God allows us To Go Backwards in order to go forward.. the adversity gives usabilitys we never planned by the experience we learn over many many trials

I only had 10K mailing lust after advertising years each person paid 1-2 to get my[a[er catalogs inthe 80s.. andi advertising about 199K in magazines. papersand locallyon Nbc TV.. the residual effect is interesting as i also put labels on the Products we made so wheni look on ebay many times i see items i made in like 1980s being re-sold still on ebay that people bought years ago..so the brand namehas lasted even tho ive been through several times of extreme Loss, illness anda divorce..and financial loss.. ievenlosty my [aid off Home...and a foot... so i get it

But by grace of God and friends andthings i dont fully understand I callmiracles I got a home and slowly been getting on track..for some purpose only God knows..as Jerry weintraub said:: after he lost all he had,,a movie studioandthis guy did the Elvis shows, Sinatra, Oh God with John Denver, The oceans films.. Led Zepplin and so much maoer Karate kid..
He was jewish booking agent son ofa jewler i Think Brooklyn New york

his book youll know im dead wheni stop talking..
I felt was a primer for mylife as i was always talking and still do about Ideas that some timess seem crazy like startinga moie memorabilia shop and mail orderin 1977 as people thoughti was crazy as why in Toledo and at the time ther were justa handful of shopsin Hollywood...

when we atsrtted i didnt even havea casj registar..justa news paperboychanger and a box of folded one sheets .yeti had 1000 of Magazines as i saved up a garafge full of stuffas i had a vision ofthe shop while i had another home..so it was a small visionand plan.. then i found many lots of stuff,,colections, films as ilikes projectors cameras. andstufflike theter seats olsd movie lights... cinema stuff, books, records.. and anything related tothe biz... and the manufacturing was a accident.. iplanned on just gatheringother makers goods and imade a kiosk to offer posters. mugs tshirts, signs and hollywood related stuff.. I got them in a local video store chain but the owner tried to orderwhat he thought would sell and nota varied inventory

Collectors are different then Loe public.. retailers like ON cue and Musicland tried to offer similar mixes and they had Toys too and limited edition but the market has always been veryodd as die jard collector swant scarce like the rare stuff but average joe justwants a reprint..and so i offerd a middle varied for everyone from Novice collectors with some sprinkled in cool memorabilia.. as i would find old warehouse stock of vintage items like Gumbys from 60s or Jame bond toys.. even music and tin a sci fi dolls..and a few genuine props from films and yv,,and autographs,,, etc,,etc.,

so i think it still can work how i did it but would need to package the items for display so a investment into displays, and inventory control.. warehouse. and the proper methods of the labels with the codes to keep control over the inventory...anda brickandmorter facility..to facilitate the venture,,ina way i already tested the concept back inthe90s so i know itwaorks and byadding the manufacturing and also mail ordder allowed diiefert streams of cash flow...it did take employess to man the operation and in regards to clerks they need to know film history of artist,,now theycan google it.. back then we needed to know or call a expert on the phone... I think i could offer a plan to unite all the sources to do it im just now 67 and still healing i dont need to do itandilive ..debt free and its been great andiam not trying to impress ..butilovetosee creative projects and i reallylike whenit helps others and has a good opportunity for others..and can help other dreamers or causes or non profits...and its just fun tosee peope happyand kids discover themovie industry and inspire them to dream as far as profits..well i made the studios lots of money with myproducts... so i guess it would surprise me thelong term But Jerry said his lesson at the end was is its about God family and friends and i agree..thats the best part of all this..but it can get very confusing as i made some decisions that were not to good on health, money ,and my personal relationships/// seems we all have the same journey in the end..as no one leaves with a U-haul behind the hearse so help all we can before its time to exit stage left,,, just ask all the stars that have learned that
all the best Bruce God bless

In 2006, when I moved my $2 million a year auction biz from eBay to my
own site, I did a bunch of Internet advertising. Google Adwords,
Facebook ads, anything else I could think of.

That turned out to be some of the best money I EVER spent, NOT because
it got me new customers (it did not!) but because it taught me that
Internet ads are the 21st century equivalent of snake oil.

After flushing a bunch of money down the toilet and after talking with
other business owners about their amazingly similar experiences, I
came to the conclusion that Internet advertising is EXTREMELY
beneficial for those who sell it, but for everyone who buys it....
good luck!

So I instead put all that money into giving those who did deal with me
great bonuses and perks, reasoning that regular repeat customers were
worth FAR more than an endless stream of one-time customers (which as
I said, Internet ads did not deliver anyway).

And my business has grown from $2 million a year to $6 million a year
average the past SIX years. All thanks to Internet advertising, which
showed me how NOT to spend my money!
