*It is so weird! Here in Missouri we are in the dead of summer, facing 90+ degree days almost every day. And yet NOW is the time to consign to our 25th Annual Halloween Auction! Why? Because since our auctions run for 3 weeks, this year's Halloween Auction starts October 1st, 3rd and 6th!And yes, you read right! We would like to make this a 3 part auction, as we did last year, but we can only do this if we receive enough consignments to fill all 3 parts! This is harder this year because it starts early, and that means our FINAL deadline to consign is September 6th, exactly 4 weeks from this writing. If we don't receive enough to have a 3 part auction, it will instead be in one or two parts!But please don't think you should wait to send consignments, because especially with this Halloween Auction we always receive tons of duplicated items! And we always go with the first one received (to be fair) so if you put off sending there is a good chance we may have already received what you were going to send from someone else!Our August Major Auction is "in the books" and it was a major success compared to very lackluster results at other auctions. This, combined with our charging so much less than any other major auction (see the separate section below for absolute proof of this!) is why eMoviePoster.com is the ONLY place you should consider consigning your high quality movie paper.So don't delay, consign today! And unlike our other major auctions, we will accept any horror/sci-fi/fantasy items for this Halloween Auction AS LONG AS they are solidly $30+ (in nice condition) or $50+ (in lesser condition). And we do "stretch the rules" slightly to include James Bond and Star Wars, because they are so popular. And speaking of popular, we REALLY want lots of 1970s and 1980s drive-in stuff, which is doing so very well lately!And we have made one very important change to consigning. We have had the rule about $30+ (in nice condition) or $50+ (in lesser condition) for over a year now, and it is working out great, getting low value items out of our auctions. THE CHANGE IS THAT LINENBACKED ITEMS MUST BE SOLIDLY $100+ (and the poster itself must sell for $50+ unbacked).Our last several major auctions have had 100 or 200 much lesser posters that were solely included because they were linenbacked, and we don't want this anymore AT ALL. So bear this in mind before sending consignments for our 25th Annual Halloween Auction!Our "regular" auctions have been doing sensationally as well, so it is also a GREAT time to consign to them!!Our auctions of folded one-sheets, lobby cards and stills have seen many, many fantastic results, so if you have $30+ examples of any of these, why not send them now, while we have so many wonderful buyers?And if you have been following our Thursday "rolled" poster auctions (including the one that just ended last Thursday), then you know that prices on LOTS of one-sheets from the 1970s to present have been "going through the roof"! Think I am exaggerating? We just auctioned a 6z0022 KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE 1sh for $1,373, an EVIL DEAD 2 British quad for $692, a NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 24x36 video poster for $400 and on and on! And prices on these seem to keep rising faster and faster (some people thought it crazy when the above posters were around $100 each a few years ago) and there is no telling where they will be in a few more years.So of course if you have these kinds of posters (the horror/sci-fi ones for our Halloween auction, or the others for our regular auctions), it makes a LOT of sense to consign them as well!But PLEASE remember that we no longer accept ANY sub-$30 items in nice condition (or sub-$50 items in lesser condition) AT ALL, even for bulk lots (we made this change a year ago). The bulk lots we are running are items that were consigned over a year ago, and once they are all gone we will have no more bulk lots.But if you have ANY items that DO qualify for our auctions, why not assemble them and get them sent off soon?*
