*I just looked over the April Major Auction (which closes in under three
days, on Sunday starting at 3 PM CT), and I was REALLY struck by just how
incredible it is, and I feel like every collector and dealer should be
participating, because if there are great deals on quality items, I would
SO rather they go to you, who have been with us for a while, some for 20 or
30 years!Of course, you can view the entire April Major Auction at this
link, https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/15.html
<https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/15.html>, but that can well cause
extreme "sensory overload", so I strongly advise you to look it over in
chunks over time (and since there are just two days left, you need to get
started with that now!HOW ABOUT LOOKING AT THEM STUDIO BY STUDIO (and this
auction has a great cross section of items from EVERY important
studio)?Universal Pictures was founded in New York in 1912 by Carl Laemmle
and he moved it to Hollywood in 1915, and it was a top Hollywood studio,
but will always be best remembered for created the greatest "monster"
movies ever created, including Frankenstein, Dracula and so many
more.eMoviePoster.com's April Major Auction contains SEVENTY Universal
Pictures posters, lobby cards and more. See them all in a single gallery
here: https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/studio%253AUniversal/15.html
<https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/studio%253AUniversal/15.html> These
are great fun to look at even if you are just "window shopping", but every
one of these 70 items will have a new owner come Sunday, because unlike
every other auction these have NO reserves (and NO buyers premiums)!THIS
CONTAINS OUR GREATEST SELECTION OF 1930s AND 1940s UNIVERSAL HORROR IN
DECADES!And the wonderful 1931 DRACULA first release window card currently
at auction is currently at just $24,742 (it would surely be $100,000 or
more anywhere else, auction or website)! See it

is something VERY special about this incredibly rare window card! It has
unusual collector stamps on the back of the poster that give it a wonderful
provenance. Legendary horror collector Ron Borst stamped the back of the
center of the poster with his stamp that reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF
Ronald V. Borst JAN 1978", and he stamped it four evenly spaced
times.Either before or after Mr. Borst owned it, another legendary horror
collector, John Antosiewicz, also stamped the back with his stamp, which
reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF John Antosiewicz", and not to be outdone, he
stamped it five times on the back of the middle! None of these nine stamps
have any effect on the front, and they certainly make for a most wonderful
provenance! So why not take your mind off of current events, and view or bid
on some great Universal Pictures items at the above link, ALL of which will
have new owners on Sunday (which is not at all true at other
auctions)?United Artists was founded in 1919 by D.W. Griffith, Charlie
Chaplin, Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks to allow actors to control
their own interests rather than being dependent upon the studios and it had
many great successes until 1981 when it was acquired by MGM after its
disastrous Heaven's Gate bankrupted the studio).eMoviePoster.com's April
Major Auction contains FIFTY EIGHT United Artists posters, lobby cards and
more. See them all in a single gallery

These
are great fun to look at even if you are just "window shopping", but every
one of these 58 items will have a new owner come Sunday, because unlike
every other auction these truly have NO reserves (and NO buyers
premiums)! And the wonderful 1936 THINGS TO COME linenbacked one-sheet
currently at auction is currently at just $8,250! See it

We
have only previously auctioned three examples of this first release
one-sheet, and the last one was 14 years ago, and it sold for $27,000, so
the current one is at a tiny fraction of that price! So why not take your
mind off of current events, and view or bid on some great United Artists
items at the above link, ALL of which will have new owners on Sunday (which
is not at all true at other auctions)?MGM was founded in 1923 (by Marcus
Loew, combining Metro Pictures, Goldwyn Pictures and Louis B. Mayer
Pictures into one company!) and in the late 1930s and early 1940s it was
the leading Hollywood studio!eMoviePoster.com's April Major Auction

every other auction these have NO reserves (and NO buyers premiums)! And
this pair of 1970 2001: A Space Odyssey wilidng one-sheets currently at

are the wilding one-sheets that were added in 1970 during this classic
movie's first release when Mike Kaplan, the film's marketing point man came
up with this great new campaign to attract young people who were reportedly
viewing the movie while taking LSD, and he added the tagline "the ultimate
trip" and used new psychedelic images on these two posters! And these two
wilding posters have wonderful provenance! They were obtained 55 years ago
by a woman who was a college student living in New York City who was
friends with a man who worked in the publicity department at MGM, in their
New York office. He gave her this set of two posters, which she displayed
on the walls of the apartment she shared with three roommates! When she
moved, she took them down and rolled them up and stored them ever since
(and she later became a noted film critic!). We auctioned them in 2018 and
they sold for $8,800 and $2,645. The person who purchased both of these
posters from us in 2018 has now reconsigned both of them, so once again,
both are in the same auction, and they are the exact same posters that were
auctioned at the same time in 2018, but currently they are at a tiny
fraction of what they previously sold for!So why not take your mind off of
current events, and view or bid on some great MGM items at the above link,
ALL of which will have new owners on Sunday (which is not at all true at
other auctions)?20th Century Fox was founded in 1915 (by William Fox as Fox
Film Corporation, and he merged with 20th Century Pictures in 1935) and in

prominence in the late 1970s as the distributor of all the Star Wars

last time we auctioned this great one-sheet was 20 years ago! Also, even
though this was the second Sherlock Holmes movie with Basil Rathbone, the
producers of the first one, The Hound of the Baskervilles, oddly chose to
NOT picture Basil Rathbone on that one-sheet, so this is the first
one-sheet that shows Basil Rathbone as legendary detective Sherlock
Holmes! So why not take your mind off of current events, and view or bid on
some great 20th Century Fox items at the above link, ALL of which will have

have never before auctioned THIS first release three-sheet, which has
similar classic Saul Bass art to that of the one-sheet! Why "similar"?
Because the art of the two figures at the bottom of the swirl is completely
different from that of the art of the two figures in the center of the
swirling on the one-sheet.We have previously auctioned 28 examples of the
one-sheet, and the last two we auctioned sold for $13,000, and $9,975. This
three-sheet is beyond rare, and this example of it is not only not backed
and not restored, but also its background color is a strong red, which is a
giant plus with posters of this title (because some examples either change
to an orange color, or perhaps there were originally different
printings). So why not take your mind off of current events, and view or bid
on some great Paramount items at the above link, ALL of which will have new
owners on Sunday (which is not at all true at other auctions)?Warner Bros.
(NOT "Warner Brothers"!) was founded in 1920 by Albert Warner, Harry
Warner, Sam Warner, and Jack Warner (although some of the brothers had been
producing movies for a number of years before that) and is still one of the

posters from this movie are incredibly rare. We have never before auctioned
a poster from this movie (only stills, lobby cards, pressbooks, and
heralds) until we received this great half-sheet, which is the only poster
from this movie we have ever auctioned! And how in the world did this poster
make it past the censors? We understand that the naked figure on the poster
is a wax statue, and not a female, but it still seems really crazy by 1933
standards! We can't imagine what comments patrons made when they passed by
THIS poster! So why not take your mind off of current events, and view or

Cohn and Jack's best friend Joe Brandt, as Cohn-Brandt-Cohn (CBC) Film
Sales. In 1924 they reorganized as Columbia Pictures Corporation. It was a

gave the studio its greatest hits! Today, it has become the world's third

Capra's You Can't Take it With You (the movie won the Best Picture Oscar

comedy based on the Pulitzer Prize play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart.
ANY first release U.S. posters from this movie is incredibly rare. We have
only previously auctioned an insert and a half-sheet from this movie (and
NO one-sheets or other first release U.S. posters of any kind) until we
received this great six-sheet!And of course, this movie won the Best
Picture Academy Award for 1938, and we can't imagine that hardly any
six-sheets from any of the 1930s Best Picture Oscar winners survive! So why

We
have only previously auctioned one example of this 1933 first release lobby
card, and that was 28 years ago, when it sold for $4,025! Quite a few
people have told us it is their favorite card, because you not only get a
great close up of Kong holding Fay Wray, but you also get the wonderful
border art of him on the Empire State Building! So why not take your mind
off of current events, and view or bid on some great RKO items at the above

Yates, after he acquired six independent Poverty Row studios (Monogram
Pictures, Mascot Pictures, Liberty Pictures, Majestic Pictures,
Chesterfield Pictures, (and Invincible Pictures) and combined them into
one, with the hopes of becoming a major studio. That never happened, but
Republic Studios did make a number of fine westerns (many with John Wayne)
as well as serials, and also a few notable major non-westerns, including
The Quiet Man (1952), Sands of Iwo Jima (1949), and Johnny Guitar (1954).
They ceased production in 1958, but there have been several attempts to
revive the studio over the years since.eMoviePoster.com's April Major

at https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/15.html
<https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/15.html>For any of you who are
fairly new to our auctions, remember that we have "time extended" bidding,
unlike eBay, which means that five minutes must go by at the end of an
auction without a bid before the auction ends. This means you can never
have an item "sniped" away from you in the final seconds as you can on
eBay, and it means that most of the last minute bidders bid with FIVE
minutes to go, rather than with seconds to go. So don't be surprised if an
item has a low bid price all the way until the end and then jumps up with
five minutes to go. If you REALLY want to win an item, you need to try to
be at your computer as it is ending! With so MANY other truly incredible
items of every kind closing in a short time Sunday, I worry that many of
these may get overlooked, and if they go for low prices, I want them to
sell to you who have supported us by buying from us in the past.So please
start checking these out right away, and the very best of luck to those of
you who bid on any of these*
